We already knew after Friday’s heavy storm that Saturday would be a loss; so many of our favorite, grander cemeteries were completely locked down due to fallen trees and danger.

But today, we needed the quiet.

We knew the local Oude Toren right down the street would be open.

It doesn’t have the massive family vaults, towering mausoleums, or ultra-ancient graves of the larger yards, but as I walked through the gates with my beautiful wife, the atmosphere was purely magical.

It felt like stepping into another era—cold, still, and beautifully broken.

Let the storms rage outside and tear down the world; as long as I am wandering these hidden shadows with her, I’m good. She deserves the absolute universe, and I’d give her forever if I could.

“Where the wind whispers to the sea”

Somewhere between the whispers of the wind and the endless rhythm of the sea, the world grows quiet, and the spirit is free to wander.
Let the wind guide you, let the waves carry your dreams, and never lose the magic that lives within you.🖤🖤🖤

Cattedrale n.41:
ORVIETO, CATTEDRALE DI SANTA MARIA ASSUNTA (1290-1591)
In: ITALIA
Tonalità: FA DIESIS MAGGIORE

Parte nona: “IS THIS GOTHIC, REALLY GOTHIC?”
