HOW DOES USP BUILD BETTER ATHLETES?

Not with generic programs.
Not with group fitness.
Not with guesswork.

At USP, every athlete follows a performance system built around THEM.

THE PROCESS:

1️⃣ APPLY + INTERVIEW
We only accept the most coachable, committed athletes.

2️⃣ ASSESS
Strength. Speed. Power. Movement. Mobility. Injury risk. Body composition. Mental skills. Performance qualities.

3️⃣ ANALYSE
We study your sport, position and game footage to identify what actually needs improving.

4️⃣ BUILD
You receive an individualised performance program designed around your strengths, weaknesses and goals.

5️⃣ COACH
Technique. Intent. Standards. Accountability. Progression.

6️⃣ PROVE IT
We retest, track progress and adjust the plan.

Because the goal isn’t to become better in the gym.

The goal is to become better when it matters-GAME DAY.

Assess. Identify. Build. Coach. Prove.

No guesswork.
No shortcuts.
No B.S.

Just intelligent athlete development.

🚨 ATHLETES: Feeling slower, flatter & more beaten up as the season goes on? READ THIS. 👇

Most athletes lose their strength, speed & power DURING the season… right when they need it most.

By Finals time they’re:
❌ Weaker
❌ Slower
❌ More injury-prone
❌ Carrying constant soreness & fatigue

And they think it’s “normal.”
It’s not.

The problem isn’t the sport.
The problem is poor in-season training.

💡 The goal IN season isn’t to get smashed in the gym.
The goal is to MAINTAIN the strength, power & resilience you built in the off-season.

Because once you lose it… it’s HARD to get back.

🏋️‍♂️ Smart in-season training helps athletes:

✅ Maintain strength & explosiveness
✅ Stay powerful late in games
✅ Reduce injury risk
✅ Recover faster between sessions
✅ Stay physically dominant deep into Finals

🔥 4 QUICK FIXES:

1️⃣ LOWER volume, NOT intensity
→ Keep lifting heavy, just do less total work.

2️⃣ Reduce unnecessary muscle damage
→ Example: Swap deep Clean Grip Deadlifts for RDLs from blocks/rack.

3️⃣ Undertand the role targeted isometrics can play in-season.

4️⃣ Train smarter, not harder
→ 1-2 quality gym sessions > 4 junk fatigue sessions.

Remember:
Fatigue masks fitness.
Smart athletes stay fresh AND strong.

🛑 STOP. Before your child does another “strength program”… read this.

🫵 7 Non-Negotiable Questions Every Athlete & Parent MUST Ask
(If your son or daughter trains at a school, club, rep team or academy-this applies to you.)

Most junior athletes aren’t under-trained…
They’re mis-trained.

Generic programs.
Zero individualisation.
No testing.
No load management.
And parents are told “trust the process”.

That process is often the fastest way to:
• Stall development
• Increase injury risk
• Burn kids out mentally
• Waste the most important training years of their life

If you actually want to future-proof your child’s athletic career, here are the 7 questions that separate real performance development from box-ticking programs:

1️⃣ Is my child’s program truly individualised-or is it the same template with their name slapped on top?

2️⃣ Do you test physical performance? And more importantly…
➡️ Is that data used to design the program
➡️ How often do you retest to PROVE progress?

3️⃣ Does the program develop ALL athletic qualities-strength, speed, power, agility, endurance, resilience, injury prevention & rehab-or just “gym fitness”?

4️⃣ How is my child’s total workload managed across school, club, rep, games and extra training?

5️⃣ Are recovery protocols prescribed based on the type of fatigue they accumulate-not just “stretch and ice”?

6️⃣ Is individual nutrition guidance provided by a qualified Sports Dietitian-or generic advice off Google?

7️⃣ How are mental skills trained?
Confidence. Composure. Focus. Pressure handling.
(Or is that just left to chance?)

If you don’t know the answers to these… that’s the problem.

At USP, this is exactly what we do:
✅ Audit & evaluate existing programs
✅ Identify missing physical qualities
✅ Individualise speed, strength & injury resilience
✅ Manage load across ALL environments
✅ Prescribe recovery that actually works
✅ Use real sports science-not guesswork

Link in bio if you’re serious about doing this properly.
Your child only gets one athletic development window-don’t waste it.
