January a conversation was had..

“I want to make the Golf team.”

Let’s go from Football since your 8 years old to now switch to Golf…🫣🤓

I love Golf. It’s one of my true passions in life. I will one day own a Golf Course and or a resort with one on it.

So this change was welcomed by me cause I’m selfish🤤🏌️.

But he had to put the work in to condense a time frame where most kids have been working at this for years. He was in the back yard chipping and putting on our practice green for hours. Lessons with the best coaches in Utah. (Mr. Fox and Stacy at Impact Golf) as many rounds as possible before this week.

Sawyer, I’m so proud of you. One of three Freshman to make it. Set a goal, work back wards from that goal and control what you can control.

A few of my highlights to remind me how and why success happens.

- gotta put the work in. You can’t fake it
- set backs happen, restarting and relearning are part of failure in any thing that matters for process purposes
- love to learn and ask questions. You must be curious, this kid is so curious to every detail he became obsessed. Equipment, angles, course management, mental strength and mind set after bad shots. The “suck” will happen in life.
- and most important, Sawyer reminded me to have fun! Sorry but mom probably knows of the milk shakes after, small wagers on the course for In and Out, rewards for a new shirt or Golf Glove. I get way to serious in life and business and this kids attitude in life has re-taught me more than I have taught him by far. I love you buddy. Congrats, step one accomplished.

So proud of @blak3golf! I have had the privilege of coaching and seeing this young man work so hard over the last several months! I am so happy for him! Awesome when you see your students hard work pay off! Keep it up! Excited and grateful to be a part of your journey! Also a shout out to another one of my putting students, @lincpet08_golf, on a top 5 finish! Sounds like Lincoln’s putter got hot the last round! Two students in the top 5! Let’s go! I am so proud and honored to be part of the journey of these young men and women I get the privilege to coach! #impactyourgame #derekfoxgolfacademy @impactgolfcenter

Received some chipping tips from a pro

These easily made my chipping more consistent. Before, I was using the bump and run with a wedge, but most chips were either running out or stopping way too short. These tips brought everything to within 4 feet or less. Many chips to about 1 foot.

Thanks Derek!

What a season and what a day! I am so proud of my boys! @cchsboysgolf You boys worked so hard all season and played some incredible golf over the last couple days! Every year it gets harder to see these young boys grow into incredible young men! I am so grateful to my Lord and Savior for giving me the strength and opportunity to be a part of their journey! I am grateful to my wife @bai_fox11 for supporting me and pushing me to be a better husband, father, friend, and coach every day! I couldn’t do it without her and my amazing girls support! Thank you to all the parents for allowing me to be a part of these boys journey! It is an honor and a privilege of a lifetime that I don’t take lightly! To all my players, I am grateful that Heavenly Father has led me to this path and this moment, to help you not only become great golfers, but also hopefully help you become the great men that this world so desperately needs! I am so proud of you all! I am truly humbled and honored to be your coach! To my seniors @tyseboman @will.pizza.golf @benmwilson_23, @bostin_bloechel way to lead this team! I am truly going to miss you boys! Family is everything, and you are all a part of mine! State Champs 3 Peat!!!
