entered 2025 like 🙌

2025: the above all life- the year of radical obedience

The secret to my 2024 was obedience.

Obedience, obedience, obedience.

In January I was in such a desperate place.
Not because I lacked, but because I knew something was wrong but didn’t know what.

I took a solo retreat in Feb. and CRIED OUT to God. I asked him for clarity and direction.

He told me 2 things:
- to move out of my current apartment (and live alone 🙌)
- AND to pour my energy into 1 full time job and the ministry of my church*

* I had been a full-time freelance musician and teacher for years at this point and never worked a full time job

So all of this was a BIG change for me.

Early 2024 Questions:
•Living alone in Boston is expensive. How am I going to afford rent?
• Where was I going to get a job that would be fulfilling and also provide with my unique resume?
• I had already been serving at my church for 9 years and poured so much- why was it so important to pour in more now?

And even with all of these scary questions, I chose to obey.

I had to shift my energy away from being an artist (just for a season ☺️), say no to events, say no to opportunities and focus on what God was calling me to do.

Today:
• I work full time a non-profit music organization for youth as a manager and lead an incredible team of teaching artists and we serve over 180 students and families in my department (and I used to go there as a kid!!)
• I moved to a 1 bedroom with most utilities included and no realtor fee 🙌 (closeby to work AND church)
• I accepted a position to be the Worship Coordinator of our church’s 2nd campus in Andover, MA & lead a team of incredible musicians #churchplanting

And guess what?

Even though my life looks completely different than what I thought I’d be investing my time in, I LOVE IT!

I love my job, my place, and my new team/role at church.

All of this happened because I chose to obey what God was saying over my own desires.

The fruit (or benefit) from that has been peace, joy and fulfillment like I’ve never had before (truly).

ALLLLLLLLLLLL glory to God ☺️☝️

I can’t wait to see what 2025 will bring 💃🏻
