Since 2018, Love Impact Coalition has been on the road across Louisiana delivering nearly 10 free medical, dental, and vision clinics in gymnasiums, convention centers, schools, and community spaces statewide.

Our impact is possible because partners and stakeholders continue to invest in healthier cities and healthier families. Together, we are building a stronger Louisiana. 💚

It is 2018 in North Baton Rouge. The sun is nowhere near rising, yet families have been standing in the cold since 1 AM. Parents bundled in blankets. Elders leaning on canes. Children curled against their mothers’ shoulders. All waiting outside a bustling building for something many of us take for granted.
Care. Hope. Relief.

Inside, then-Councilwoman Donna Collins Lewis is moving with purpose, her breath visible in the freezing air as she directs headlights through the darkness. Clipboard in hand, she and her vice president, Dr. Nicole Thomas, weave through volunteers, checking on stations, calming anxious families, and preparing their team to deliver free medical, dental, and vision care to anyone who walks through those doors. No questions. No insurance. No barriers.

What began as a single act of compassion sparked a movement.

Fast forward to 2025. Nearly ten clinics later, the scenes repeat across Louisiana — Opelousas, Alexandria, Shreveport, Donaldsonville, and always back home to Baton Rouge. Thousands of people served. Glasses mailed to children who have never seen clearly. Life-saving dental extractions. Prescriptions filled. Families finally able to breathe again.

Yet with every clinic, the line grows longer.

By 2026, the dynamic duo plans to expand to five additional clinics. When asked how they continue to scale, their answer is simple.
Because the need is growing.
Because people are counting on us.
Because a healthier Louisiana takes all of us.

The clinics remain 100% free, but sustaining this impact requires sponsors, donors, volunteer doctors, partners, and everyday people willing to lift others up. The story is still being written — and the next chapter depends on those who believe that care should never be out of reach.

Will you help build a healthier Louisiana?
