POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This (as I wave my arms erratically)…was not on my bingo card.

We’re honored with this nomination, and yet it’s still surreal to me that we were nominated. We were a STUDENT film, competing with professional and experienced talents. I could have surrendered on the film and gone elsewhere, and this timeline would be completely absent. But we saw it through, and here we are now. 🥹

It was a blast meeting familiar and new faces, and to celebrate all of our work together. Thank you all for your continued support and kindness throughout this little adventure. And thank you to Professor Tutak, José Orbegozo, CUNY-TV, and the team of Implosions: we got this and everything ahead of us. 🫶

Late to the party, but ever grateful 🫶

Over the summer I was asked from @cuny.tv to discuss @implosions23 with fellow BC filmmakers. It was one of the coolest experiences I ever had, and to be in company with talents like @haruka.horiuchi38 and @freddy_pena, was such a treat. Plus, Professor Tutak!!! I’m always grateful for that man. 🥹🥰✨

A huge thank you to the team at @cuny.tv for bringing this together, and for taking such awesome care of us. 🫶 You can watch the full panel now on YouTube, and be sure to check out Freddie and Haruka’s work! 👏👏👏👏

The final frame of Implosions.
I know very well that this post comes two months late, but on behalf of everyone involved, I want to say thank you for watching the film. This film was a 3+ year effort, and nothing is guaranteed in life, even when you pour your heart into it. And c’mon, I’ve been talking about this film nonstop; i don’t want to chase you guys away 😅
It’s hard being a filmmaker, and this film was a LOT to do. There were moments when stopping would have been the easy, albeit sane, thing to do.
That’s why I’m grateful we didn’t. Through it all, we told a good story, and hopefully did some good telling it. That was my goal, and to see how far this story continues to go blows my mind, truly. And to say it simply, I’m just thankful for this experience, in solidifying that this is what I want to do in life.
So, thank you for being here and supporting this little student film. It means the world. - lzsherm 🫶
