What an incredible weekend 🤍 Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Six18 Studio Open House, supported my small business, entered giveaways, and celebrated this new chapter with me.

Seeing so many faces in the studio meant more than you know. This is just the beginning, and I’m so excited for what’s ahead.

If you couldn’t make it but want to book a session, message me anytime ✨

In celebration of 40 YEARS of Kim’s Academy of Dance, we asked some of our teachers and alums (aka ‘The Oldies’) what their favorite recital theme over the last 40 years has been. Check out their answers! 🩷💃🏻 #KAD40 #KADPeoria #KADWashington #dance #dancerecital

So, 2 stories for you:

1: The first time I saw ‘Proud Mary’ performed at Kim’s Academy of Dance was at my very first recital when I was 3 years old. Over the years, I watched my teachers up on stage just hoping to one day be as good as them. Fast forward 25 years later, and I got to be up on stage with women who taught me everything I know, as a dancer, choreographer, and dance instructor, and I am so lucky to say are now wonderful friends. Thanks for letting me join the fun…3 year old Sydney would think this is the coolest thing EVER 🤩

2: When we were deciding what dances we wanted to bring back for the 40th recital this year, I was asked if I would re-do one of my FAVORITE lyrical pieces I’ve ever created. This piece was originally choreographed in 2020, and we all know how that ended up. 🤪 This was seriously the most fun to be able to revisit a piece that had to change so much due to the pandemic. To see it come to fruition this weekend with a full class, the way I originally saw it in my head 5 years ago has made my heart so full. So proud of these girls and ALL of my students this year for working so hard, AND having a blast while doing it. So much love for my dance fam 🩷🩷 #KAD40

I am over here reminiscing on our dreamy, cozy new year rest & reset event🌿♥️
It seems like I am continually being drawn back to the idea that rest is resistance and being in community heals. In this workshop we reflected, giggled, shared stories and dreamed together. We journaled on new years reflections and how we welcome in, or avoid rest. We incorporated herbs and tinctures with @flowerbaby21 and crafted sacred smudge sticks with herbs from our gardens. The group that came each brought their own energy, openness, and presence that made the workshop truly special and one I will remember. @taylorkatinasphotography reallllly knows how to show up for photography at events. She does an amazing job at capturing every facet of the event, including the energy in it and I so thank her for it ♥️

The OSF Angel Ball last night was absolute MAGIC! ✨

Hats off to the planning committee! You truly created the most beautiful evening that I will forever remember. Good friends, lots of laughter and Earth Wind & Fire!

Congratulations to OSF Healthcare and the funds raised to continue the cutting edge research and treatment happening at the new Cancer Center. We are so lucky to have such an incredible place within the Peoria community.

Of all the days that come and go,
Galentine’s is the one to show,
Appreciation for friendships pure,
With laughter, love, and so much more.
So here’s to us, my dear friends,
Forever and always, hand in hand.

Sending the love to all of the women in my life! Thank you for being apart of my life! 💜
