Severance Summer 2025. ☀️ Epic. One for the books.

LA. Santa Barbara. Scottsdale. Cannes. Paris. Reims. Positano. Capri. Ibiza. Charlotte. Raleigh. Martha’s Vineyard. Beyoncé… twice ✌🏽. Boat Days. Beaches. Pool Days (and nights). Long lunches. And dinners.

Something I haven’t really talked much about… Earlier this year, I left my job (and safety net). It was absolutely not on my bingo card for 2025 to be unemployed… excuse me, I meant, FUNemployed. But God doesn’t make mistakes, and He’s known for removing things (and people) from your life that aren’t for you. So when life threw me lemons, I decided to make lemonade. And wow, how sweet it has been! Unencumbered quality time with family and friends. Genuine connection. Clarity. Peace. Joy!

Grateful for the blessings that have flowed from this season, and even more excited about what’s on the horizon. On to the next chapter!

That’s a wrap on an amazing UC SMART summer! 🌞✨

This was such a rewarding and formative experience! Over six weeks in Sacramento and Davis, we got to engage in intensive medical anthropology training and complete research across Northern California.

Most importantly, we built bonds that will carry far beyond the program!! From our health science courses to graduate development workshops and fun weekly excursions, UC SMART allowed us to grow as scholars and as a community!! Cali owes us nothing 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️
