Our Summer Solstice gathering, Sol Café, was a beautiful evening of shared food, conversation, and community. The vibes were high, the energy was warm, and bellies were full.

One of the most fulfilling parts of my work is creating spaces that bring people together and foster connection. The Solstice marks a season of renewal and reminds us to honor the natural cycles in both our lives and our practice. I feel fortunate to spend my days working with clay, a material that carries all four elements: earth, water, fire, and air. Sharing that work with others makes it all the more meaningful.

A heartfelt thanks to our collaborators and partners — Firewild, Lapo’s, Las Jaras Wine, Madre Mezcal, Rambler Sparkling Water, Armonía, CAP Beauty, Espíritus del Ande, Everyday Oil, F. Miller, Hijita, Incausa, Masienda, and Rainbo — for their generosity and helping make the evening possible.
Thank you to Sonia, Sara, and Analisa for being my support system. Thank you Maryssa & Gabe for thoughtfully capturing the evening.
And thank you to everyone who joined us and continues to champion my work. I’m deeply grateful.

Incausa is a social enterprise that brings together design and traditional craftsmanship, working directly with artisan communities across South America and beyond.

Each object is created through a “purposeful trade” approach, aiming to support handmade work and preserve ancestral knowledge, while bringing meaningful, intentional objects into everyday life.

We are happy to offer a selection of Incausa pieces in our space, as part of our curation of thoughtful and independently minded brands.

I brewed an entire double espresso this morning without putting a cup under it, which tells you everything you need to know about how my day started.

Anyway, here’s one of our new Mantiteka baskets hanging on the wall. It’s such a beautiful piece for storage.
