This Friday, Saturday and Sunday, I’ll be taking care of the music and performing a live set for a performance at @viertewelt, near Kottbusser Tor.

It speaks about the January massacre in Iran, exile, and the experiences of those who have lived through it.

To my friends who may have witnessed what has been happening from afar and sometimes wondered how to show support: coming, listening, and making space for Iranian voices and their stories would mean a lot.

Tickets in my bio.

English and Persian with English subtitles
Content note: The performance addresses state violence and death in Iran, internet blackouts, grief, exile, queer persecution, emotional distress and survivor guilt. It includes documentary image and sound fragments, death counts, darkness, and sudden changes in light and sound. No graphic violence is shown.

Concept, text & Performance : Arash Azarm @arashazarm_
Directors Assistant : Setareh Maleky @setaremaleky
Video & Visual Art: Giovanni Dinello
@giovannidinello
Music & live set: Balthazar Martinez (with support of @incendie_0 & @matfinkflow for composition and setup)
Artistic & technical assistance: Rahel Jenny Egger

Thanks to @8mmbar and @romanticfiction.nights for having us, and thanks to everyone who came out Thursday. You could’ve been anywhere, yet somehow you ended up there with us.
That was a great choice apparently!
