Our Mission: Unlocking the Potential of People through #education 🎒 #employment 💼 #independence💪

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We had an incredible night celebrating INCIGHT - an organization supporting individuals experiencing disabilities as they pursue what they want to achieve through educational programs, employment services and leader development training that support authentic independence.

Since 2004, co-founder and Executive Director Scott Hatley and the INCIGHT team have increased awareness & inspired action — providing the space for people with disabilities to achieve at their upper limit, connect & build community and embrace their individuality and disability.

We are so grateful to connect with Scott & INCIGHT and excited to see what’s ahead for their scholars, entrepreneurs & leaders!

“WE EXPECT GREAT THINGS OF PEOPLE EXPERIENCING DISABILITIES.”

Amazing event last night with Portland’s @incight! This marks the 15th year I’ve collaborated with an incredible team of talented people for this Gala. Thanks to @jenmetzler & @dreambuildercustomhomesinc for attending this year and partnering with us!

😉 Did you do it?

But really, this little notch is a big deal.

This Disability Pride Month, we’re excited to debut our new cards made specifically with accessibility in mind. In addition to Braille — which is available upon request — all of our cards will now have this tangible designation to help folks identify their Rivermark cards.

And the coolest part? This change is the direct result of internal advocacy from our Community Action Counsel and our partnership with @incight.

Have you gotten one yet? Or do you have other accessibility suggestions? Let us know!

A little vlog about some recent work I did for a job fair hosted by one of my clients, @incight. Catch the snippet of a presentation I got to give towards the end of the video. I always appreciate it when my clients let me explore more tasks in addition to running their social media/communications.

Someone even came up to me at the end of the presentation and told me I should be a professor or something with public speaking. 😅 Hopefully more opportunities to come in the near future!

Stay Fresh & Stay Blessed y’all 🤙🏽😊

Thank You May | 🙏🏽❤️😊

Hey Siri, play “New Mode” by @kidcudi.

I think “blessed” is an understatement when it comes to how the month of May went for me. I guess it goes to show that even if something doesn’t work out in the way that you had hoped, somehow some other things do work out in your favor.

Lots of newness in life for sure. From settling into my new apartment and enjoying my new environment, navigating different challenges (especially with still being injured but definitely getting better over time), and everything in between. All of it being part of the journey I’m glad to be on.

And as always, even though I don’t know what’s in store for me ahead, I’m here to “keep pushin’” forward to see whatever it may turn out to be. Here’s a lil’ photo dump from the past month. Stay Fresh & Stay Blessed y’all! 🤙🏽

Spent the morning talking to talented job seekers about what it is like to be an election worker. Huge thank you to Incight for the invitation!

My office is currently hiring college students to help conduct the May 20, 2025 Special District Election and beyond. The time is always right to recruit the next generation of public servants.

We spent the morning talking to talented job seekers at the Incight Job Fair at the SE Works Career Center. Clackamas County Elections is seeking college students to serve as temporary election workers for the May 20, 2025 Special District Election and future elections. Incight hosts job fairs with local employers, sharing career opportunities with jobseekers. INCIGHT serves individuals living with barriers, people with disabilities, single parents, veterans, and others. We shared what working in a local election office is like and conducted some on-site job interviews with candidates.

I’m a little late for #GivingTuesday but here are some organizations that I have the pleasure of/had the pleasure of being part of this past year, and where donations will definitely go towards a good cause.

Adaptive Sports Northwest - @adaptivesportsnw provides competitive and recreational sports opportunities for people with physical disabilities, and visual impairments. I have the honor of being their Communications Manager, event photographer, and athlete through the organization (competing in wheelchair rugby, and wheelchair racing).
ASNW Website: https://adaptivesportsnw.org

INCIGHT - @incight provides educational, career, and independence opportunities for folks with disabilities. I was one of their former scholars as their scholarship program partially funded my college career, and I currently work with them as their Social Media Manager.
INCIGHT Website: https://www.incight.org

APANO - @apanocuf does work that “unites Asians and Pacific Islanders to build power, develop leaders, and advance equity through organizing, advocacy, community development and cultural work.” As a Communications Coordinator through their organization, it’s been rewarding to see the local AAPI community flourish and knowing I have even a small hand in doing so.
APANO Website: https://www.apano.org

TASTE for Equity - @tasteforequity helps with support programs, sponsorships, and mentorships for Oregon’s BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ food and wine industry. I had the pleasure of working for TASTE for Equity earlier this year as their Operations Coordinator.
TASTE for Equity Website: https://www.tasteforequity.org

Please consider making a donation, sharing with your loved ones, or getting involved with any of these great organizations!

✨ Living life in Mapel! ✨

Quick flight to Idaho to meet the newest member of the family - the girls were instantly obsessed with their newborn cousin! 💐 Stayed comfy while traveling in our Sylvie Embroidered Knit Set in Heather Grey - it’s so soft and cozy, and has the sweetest little embroidered flowers.

While in Idaho we had to visit @lowefamilyfarmstead - corn mazes, tractor rides, and apple cider donuts - oh my! 🌽 Layers are always a good idea for fall, and the Palm Springs Sweater Tank was perfect underneath the Colorblock Crochet Cardigan - 10/10, would wear again!

The @incight 20th Anniversary Gala was earlier this month and raised $196,000!! 💚 Wore our gorgeous Simone Dress and Kanika Heels to celebrate a fantastic organization doing fantastic things in our community!
