It may be autumn but it’s always Seaglass season here on the Island! 🌊🌲🌅🐭 The weather is beautiful and we are unpacking fun new arrivals daily right now from mice to menswear, fall fashions for women, jewelry, cards, decor and art. We are open 10-5 on Saturdays and Mondays now and 9:30-5 throughout the week! Yes we are closed Sundays….we’ve disappointed a few people lately on Sundays but it’s such a rest for our minds when we close that one day a week and as small business owners 13 years in now we can’t tell you how necessary that is for us as believe it or not things come up every day to handle so giving ourself that permission for true sabbath rest helps our longevity. Before their season disappears until next year, I highly suggest picking some blackberries this weekend and making this cinnamon scented blackberry galette. She is so much simpler than she looks and so delicious. A taste of late summer, homemade. She is also quite the beauty on the table.

I’m a very reluctant traveller. I don’t like it, I never have, and I’m trying to get better at it. If I have to leave the house, I want to be absolutely certain that it won’t be a waste of time and money.

Vancouver Island isn’t exactly next door from Yorkshire but I can safely say it was the best use of my time and money for a holiday and if you like the English countryside, this is like Yorkshire on steroids 😍

Hoping one day I can go back (forever channeling my inner @tidetotrails tbh) ❤️
