Some of my favorite shoots are the ones that were never planned.

We went to Mount Batur for sunrise, and I had made a promise to myself this year: whenever I see an opportunity to grow as a photographer, I take it.

So I walked up to two strangers and asked if they’d be up for a quick 30-minute shoot.

No moodboard.
No styling.
No production.
No professional models.

Just a location, an idea, and the challenge of turning a vision into something real.

From the moment I saw the volcanic landscape, I imagined a modern sportswear campaign. Everything else was built around that idea.

Moments like this remind me that creativity isn’t about having perfect conditions.
It’s about seeing something before it exists.
