Christmas feasting has arrived early at @indiansummerbrighton! ✨🍛

Launching 1st November, their festive menu is all about sharing, indulgence and BIG flavours. For £39 per person, you get a feast of multiple starters followed by a huge thali to share between two people 🤤

There’s a meat, vegetarian or vegan option, plus gluten-free options available, so there’s something for everyone!

We tried the meat thali and honestly, where do we start?! 😍 The butter chicken burrata was dreamy, the creamy black dal was pure comfort, and the HUGE lamb shank was an absolute showstopper. Add in the Brussels sprout poriyal, fragrant yakhni pulao and Raquel’s all-time favourite naan spicy, cheesy and ridiculously good and you’ve got yourself a proper feast! 🫶🏽

And because it’s Christmas, the festive cocktails are here too! 🍸🎅🏼 From a winter spiced pear daiquiri and lychee luxe to a mango sassy lassi, a whiskey-based Cornstar Martini, and the mezcal and apple brandy-based Naked & Dangerous.

But our favourite of the night? The Figgy Pop with Flower Power gin and fig liqueur 🍸✨ Fruity, festive and dangerously drinkable!

Oh, and did someone say a boozy, liquid version of a Bounty? 👀🥥🍫

Brighton, 5–9 October.

A new vinyl café has landed on North Road. There’s free cinema at Pink Moon, unlimited Greek food in Hove, International Curry Week doing the rounds and a very good excuse to spend Wednesday night at the Dome.

A few openings, a few one-offs, and a handful of things we’d actually leave the house for.

International Curry Week has arrived in Brighton, and a few of the city’s favourites are getting involved.

Expect plenty of spice from @thechillipickle, @indiansummerbrighton and @thecoconutisland_uk, plus a slightly less obvious contender in @iroristreetfoodtruck bringing Japanese katsu curry into the mix.

A very good week to order something with sauce on it.

Brighton’s got a new one.

@dotsbrighton has officially opened on North Road, bringing together vinyl, coffee from @thebotanistcoffeeco, plates from @barbino__ and a bar under one roof.

Part café, part listening room, part place to accidentally lose a few hours.

The Ocean Film Festival rolls into @brighton_dome on 7 October with a night dedicated to life above, below and right on the edge of the water.

Big-screen stories, properly wild places and the sort of films that make staying in feel like a poor decision.

Wednesday plans, sorted.

@nostos__hove is going unlimited every Wednesday this October. Gyros, souvlaki, warm pita, crispy fries, salads and all the Greek bits you’d normally pretend you were “just going to try.”

£21 a head, 90 minutes, 5–11pm.

Come hungry. Leave making promises about eating lighter tomorrow.

On 9 October, @bearlyawakebrighton is hosting an evening of specially curated LGBTQ+ magazines, queer print and hard-to-find editions, with the team behind BOYS! there too.

The sort of event where you go in for a browse and come out with three magazines you absolutely did not plan to buy.
