Shaw Kicker India Pulphus is not your average girl on campus. In fact, there’s nothing average about her athletic abilities & the history she’s made. After becoming the first Woman to score at a Division II HBCU, the skies the limit for Cleveland’s finest 💅🏾🦿

Shaw University sophomore India Pulphus and Jackson State University freshman Leilani Armstrong are making history as female kickers at their HBCUS. Pulphus became the first woman in CIAA history to score in a football game. Armenta became the first woman kicker to score in a Division I HBCU football game. Both of these women are breaking boundaries in sports and we are here to witness it !

It was a tale of two halves in the @hbcudigital game of the week. JCSU came out hot to lead 10-0 in the first half. But Shaw turned it around in the second half scoring 21 unanswered winning their homecoming game 21-10! #thisishome #ciaa #ciaafb #jcsu #shaw

I was honored to tell #HERstory this week in the @ciaasports ranks where @shawufb2’s @indiapulphus earned the #CIAA Special Teams Player of the Week after becoming the 1st female football player at @su_bears to play in a football game. She kicked an extra point in their defeat to Virginia State this past weekend & she’s having a blast “kickin’ it” with her teammates this fall.

#herstory being made daily. Shout out @indiapulphus on the recorded feat.

Side note: remember when Rudy Huxtable played football and was dubbed "Sweet Feet"? Draw your own parallels. 😂
