Sweet Nita shared this verse with me the night of the show. That is just one of the beautiful memories I was able to make this year. Thank you to the HSMTA'S for giving me this beautiful opportunity, a great group of insanely talented friends, and memories I will cherish forever :)

HSMTA ‘26 🌟

2 weeks ago I lived out a dream of mine since sophomore year: perform on the orpheum stage AGAIN. And let me tell you it was even better than I imagined! Being among 13 talented lead nominees was truly a blessing and I will cherish this group and the memories we made forever.

But first, I would not have made it this far if it weren’t for the support of those around me who were a part of the process. Thank you Jeff White, Tate Hansen, Alison Garland, and Cameron Donlin for pushing me to become the best actress I could be. Thank you @orpheummemphis and (especially) @lenawallaceblack for running the heck out of this program! I aspire to be you as I go into theatre education for my career. And of course I give my gratitude to all of my friends and family that have seen me at my best and worst. I mean if you had told me 4 years ago that I would be here, I would not have believed you lol. As I said in my adjudication essay, “Four years ago, I ran off my first stage. Now, I can’t seem to step off one.”

In the end, being nominated for a role I worked so hard for was rewarding, but the greatest reward was realizing how far I had come.

“Can’t stop rowing, growing, changing and moving on.”

What a privilege it has been to be Jesse. He gave me a new perspective on life and brought me so many new adventures! I could’ve never imagined he’d lead me as far as he did, yet here I am proudly saying that I was a 2026 Orpheum HSMTA Lead Actor nominee. I was so incredibly blessed with this opportunity and it lead me to so many incredible people. The group of people I had the honor of sharing that stage with are the most talented people I’ve ever met. They truly are the future of the arts and I cannot wait to see them on Broadway one day and say, “hey, I know them!” They are each so nice and such lights in this world! I cannot wait to see what the future holds, but it’s time to say goodbye to Jesse Tuck but not the beauty he brought with him. I’ll never forget Tuck Everlasting and I’ll never forget the 2026 Orpheum High School Musical Theatre Awards! #hsmta901 #orpheum #forever17

Words cannot describe how thankful I am for this show! Thank you to everyone who made this amazing show possible and for providing me a home on stage! I have met so many new people and friends that have become a new family for me! I am definitely going to miss performing Cinderella and it will always hold a special place in my heart! Thank you so much @newdayct for giving me the opportunity to perform this amazing show with so many amazing people! Love you all!
