Hey Portland! Just shipped out “The Hunter” for “BLACK ANIME”, at @industryonefoundation curated by @juliyennnnnnnnnnnn 🗡️ opening next Sat. Feb. 28th.

Since girlhood, those weekend anime episodes felt like I was absorbing wild superpowers.

“The Hunter” 2024 is the start of this fantasy armory collection I’ve been growing, highlighting my love for worldbuilding, shiny magical trinkets, specialty combos on final bosses, & non-cheesey underdog stories.

🤎🤌🏾 Black history month so far.. black art, music, love and community. Our history is rooted in creativity, creating something beautiful out of unrest and sometimes nothing, true Renaissance. This season forever reminds me of my ancestors, my grandparents and specifically my pop pop who embodied being a Renaissance man while he was here. Last slide is of him and his band 🥰 🎶

Also, slide 2 is so nostalgic. In elementary school, we used to have to assemble every morning before classes in the auditorium to sing Lift Every Voice & Sing & not just during BHM. This was literally everyday. I’m so grateful for my black history and I’m happy to see we aren’t losing recipes despite some efforts to erase it….100 years of celebrating BHM in this broken country…and a 28 track playlist of black gems from me to you (Link in bio/story) 🤎
