POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Black women are strong alone but stronger together.

Just like my @diorbeauty foundation lasts “Forever” my sisterhood and bond with my confidant, work wife and support system @indyabrown is eternal. I know when I need you you’ll be there and you’ll be ready to lift me up in times of hardships, like when I can’t pick the right photo to post or more importantly when I need editorial support. You’ve been there through my first social media editor job at @thecut (which you referred me for) to me now hitting new breakthroughs with @everystylishgirl. I wouldn’t want to do life or photoshoots 🥺 with anyone else.

Also, sisters that glow together in @diorbeauty grow, empower and takeover together. #DiorForever #ForeverSisterhood

“There are times I feel more conspicuous about being Muslim, especially after there has been an incident involving someone claiming to be Muslim. Other times, it’s like, This is the United States, founded on religious freedom, and this is as much my country as anyone else’s. I take precautions. Like, I won’t walk along the train platform very close to the edge.” 🇺🇸 For the Cut's fall fashion portfolio, @nymag send photographer @hollyandres on a 43-day road trip around the country to shoot American women, listen to their stories, and style them in fall fashion. Styled by @rebeccarams, interviews by @lexit, styling assistance by @indyabrown, on-set hair and makeup by @beautybysherimarie.

This summer, we sent photographer @hollyandres to shoot 21 American women in our fall fashion portfolio. Meet Khalilah, a 35-year-old showgirl and writer who lives in Las Vegas. 🎲 “Would I return to Nebraska? There’s so many places to see that I don’t need to go back to that one...When I was growing up, my mom’s other children rejected me. Mom once said they were rejecting of me because I was lighter-skinned than they were. It’s just so strange that you can hate a child for something they have no control over.” Shot by @hollyandres, styled by @rebeccarams, interviews by @lexit, styling assistance by @indyabrown, on-set hair and makeup by @beautybysherimarie

“Both my parents worked, so I always wanted to be a working woman. As I get older, I find I am less interested in having a family. I feel like this is the norm among my peers — we all are bearing the burdens of our predecessors.” Honor, a 29-year-old stylist and vintage seller in Los Angeles. “My dad was a professional cowboy for 18 years. I have been riding and competing since I was 3. I love America. I love how women can be independent here. If I had five minutes to speak to the country, I’d say: ‘Everyone, please stop complaining and look around and try being grateful for what you do have.’” Hadley, a 16-year-old student. 🇺🇸 1 road trip, 43 days, and 21 women with 21 different views of America. See our fall portfolio on the Cut, and in the pages of @nymag. “One thing about Lincoln is that I don’t live on a farm or drive a tractor to work while listening to country, like a lot of people think. I actually hate country and would rather throw on some #muramasa while driving my Jeep. I don’t even own cowgirl boots. But the sunsets — I know every state claims they have the prettiest sunsets, but nothing compares to the bright-red color of the sky on a summer afternoon in the heart of Nebraska.” 🇺🇸 This summer, @hollyandres shot the Cut's fashion portfolio on a road trip around America, featuring American women.
