POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Down to our last few artists for Cultuuravond and today we have a double feature 🎥

Meet Iris and Indy! 🌿

Here is a short message written by Iris:

“Hi, I’m Iris (@i.risk.art) a regular at CC Delft where I often come to work, read or draw (if not to chat with the baristas). I love exploring all sorts of mediums and materials but am most comfortable with my camera and digital drawing tablet.

I’ve never been quite patient when it comes to my art but I’ve come to embrace a certain roughness or simplicity in everything I make. Perhaps this impatience relates to my fondness of the sea, with it’s constantly moving shapes and colours. I’m excited to showcase this fondness at the Cultuuravond in both photography, oil paint and digitally drawn work!”

And finally, some words from Indy:

“Illustrator, student, young adult, chaotic, and barista.

I am from The Hague and study illustration at the Utrecht University of the Arts (HKU). My goal is to poke people in sensitive spots, arouse opinions, and draw attention to things that would normally go unnoticed.

My work is colorful, emotional, satirical, and narrative. I never miss an opportunity to express my worldview on paper.“

Come meet these two wonderful people and enjoy their exhibitions this Friday @ 18:30 ✨

We bound & made a book!
Illustration year 1 all wrote a haiku & made 3 visual variations of it ⭐️⭐️⭐️ we then collected all the illustrations and bound it into a book 🫶

Mine was about the blue-white floral wallpaper we saw in huis oud amelisweerd 📍 that was apparently Lodewijk Napoleon’s wallpaper. Much credits to @indybroeren for creating the cover (and helping me figure out how to bind the book) <3

What a joy to make this ring. It brings nature and artificial clay silver together.
