they say once you leave you can never go back

i think it’s true

it’s not about the place

it’s about who you are there, what you do and who you’re with

i came home expecting to see the place i knew, only to find everything looked different

because i was different

sometimes you have to leave your brain on the bench and go play

i’ve done so many things i didn’t think i could do because i forgot that i couldn’t do them just long enough to get them done

start taking the actions of someone who’s good at the thing, and sooner or later you’ll be... good at the thing

the fastest way to get rid of your imposter syndrome is to give your brain a front row seat to your transformation ☀️

bars on the run, late night rock edition

i found this sexy rock just a few blocks from my crib

tucked back in this weird forest thing between two streets

i was walking back from my friends place late at night and realized it looked insanely dope in lighting from the nearby street light

so i ran home, grabbed my recording equipment, and did a quick lil live take on the rock for the fam

speaking of letting success get to your head...😂

i don’t think i was ever riding higher than when we came back from panama

we had been in mexico city beforehand for a festival

then we had a 6 day gap where the band went back to the US to relax

but i stayed in mexico and explored and then went straight from there to meet the band in panama

i joined a clown for an impromptu performance in one of the city’s plazas...

i stripped naked and participated in an aztec ritual in an ancient cave...

and i met some very dope ladies

one of them in particular...😂

she came over early in the morning before my flight to panama and i almost missed the plane

when i got back to the US i wrote this song, Gunslinger

and captured the energy

looking back, i still can’t believe i did all that shit

“who that on the yacht like a boss? / who that with the bars and the sauce? / it’s just lil old me!”
