The beauty of the Romain Gauthier C isn't found in complications or headline-grabbing mechanics. It's found in restraint. A watch that does only what is necessary, yet leaves nothing overlooked. I’m trying out the straps I bought to go with this and the grey is so much better than I was thinking it would be (by the way the darker shade on the 6 o’clock end is the more accurate as the top is catching bright light). Being as it’s neutral it can suit almost anything I’m wearing without even thinking about it. The taupe strap is similar in that it’s fairly neutral too. I have one more colour to go but already I’m not feeling that as much as I am the taupe and grey. Catching up to the storm that was WatchTime, WindUp, and The Hype. Starting with Armin Strom, one of the booths I spent the most time with. The team was so friendly and patient. Part of why I’m starting with Armin Strom is because my experience with it began even before entering the events. I met my friend @thedrummerdad at Grand Central and started geeking out with his new piece unique right on the sidewalk. He had just taken delivery of his Mirrored Force Resonance, with all its stunning details. As we explored both WindUp and WatchTime, we ran into other Armin Strom collectors too. I don’t own one, but I’ve noticed the kind of community that makes indies feel personal.
