Thrilled and honoured to have been shortlisted for Emerging Designer of the Year at the @ausdesignreview IDEA Awards. It’s really special to be recognised alongside such an incredible group of designers. It’s been a long, twisty path to the place I find myself in now, and all of those routes and detours have made our studio what it is, with its own flavour and way of seeing the world. I get to create spaces every day that make the dumpster fire of a world a little more bearable for people. Places to gather or retreat. To feel less lonely or to find some much-needed solace. A space that makes someone feel safer or seen. A little world created just for them. And I get to create these spaces alongside an incredible team @kristina_tsalikis and @harrwil, who bring their own ideas, talent and weirdness to everything we do. Thank you @ausdesignreview and @alvinpwu, and to the jury @danielboddam @akinatelier @dmespiritu @shaunlockyerarchitects @foolscapstudio @dko_architecture for the recognition. What an absolute thrill to have Bradford featured in @vogueliving. It’s a project that holds such a special place for us. Working alongside our wonderful clients Zoe and Emilio, we set out to honour the bones of this historic Victorian terrace while creating something deeply personal, theatrical, and just a little bit mad. From the floating "cloud" cabinet in the kitchen to the jewel-toned glass artwork by @foolsglass framing the bedroom doorway, every detail was designed to feel like an experience. Art, architecture, and joinery working as one.
