Less than one week until our first ever goth takeover!!! We’ll be at @purgatory.bk on Thursday, and we can’t wait for you to join us… 🩸 We’ll be at Purgatory in BK 7-11PM on August 6th for an evening of dancey darkwave music, creepy crafts (vintage goth collage station??!!), gothic games, a mini night market with perfectly macabre vendors, and of course, your local CC queer goth community! Masks (KN95 or better) will be required + provided, in order to actively practice community care and keep our scene safe and accessible. 🖤 🐈‍⬛🗝️ @kittyc4tmeow is our DJ for the night! First couple slides are from the @queerbk event held by @neptunicnb. I didnt take any pictures or videos for the market at @peoplesforumnyc but I did take mad selfies. 😅 this was my third summer doing the #peoplesmarket. It was nice to see familiar faces and new ones. PERFORMERS FROM ALL OVER THE CITY! PULL UP FOR LOVE, COMMUNITY, & VIBES❤️ **Masks are HIGHLY Encouraged** Our goal? Raising funds to provide community members with emergency go bags! These bags are essential in all households in case of an emergency! You would fill these bags with items like flashlights, food, water filters, important docs, etc. With your help, we can prepare our people for emergencies. As New Yorkers and community members, we must provide safety for one another. In a city where we experience violence, evictions, fires, sinkholes, and floods (to name a few), we must always be prepared! Never scared! 24🌟 —— ⚠️TW: Domestic Violence, Nazis, Proud Boys, Car accident This year has been one of the most transformative years of my life! Last December was one of the most traumatic months of my life and it projected me forward in ways I could’ve never imagined! Last December I was harassed and physically chased by my ex, and the story hour protests escalated to new heights. My story hour was protested by proud boys and Nazis and I was mass misgendered by the media. Since then I’ve done two interviews for CBS and one for business insider about my experiences. Life really kicked my ass last year, I even got into a car accident 🤪 Im scrappy though it only motivated me! Last year I learned to crochet, wet felting, metal screaming, human blockhead, body stapling, gogo, and pole! I focused on learning and healing last year. I nourished my body and I nourished my friendships! And I got the opportunity to produce a show at the fucking stonewall inn!!! Producing The First Punch is one of my proudest accomplishments! The history of Stonewall has always been a special interest of mine, and growing up on Long Island I’d often hop on the train to the city and just stand outside, take pictures and imagine what it was like inside. Now I get to celebrate and uplift my community at such an important place for queer liberation! It honestly makes me emotional I’ve worked my ass off and I’m so grateful to be here. This year was long and hard but I moved out, am doing drag full time and am surrounded by love! I’m really proud of how hard I’ve worked and how far I’ve come💕🌟 To many more🎈
