We’re pleased to share the second recording from this open-air Goan dancefloor, featuring the opening hour of a set that carried us into the first sunrise of 2026.

We’re back @junagoa next Friday for our monthly dance programme featuring a very special guest all the way from HCMC 🇻🇳. We have @_yokosun playing a vinyl set outdoors followed by an extended b2b with d> resident @raviediscovery in the soundroom.

For over a decade, the Vaayu New Year’s Gathering has been our shared ritual—a moment to honour the passing of time, to reflect, celebrate, and step into the unknown together. Inspired by the elements that surround us—the ocean that calls us home, the wind that moves us, the fire that ignites us, and the earth that grounds us—we come together to dance, to create, and to connect. We may come from different places, different backgrounds, but what unites us is this love—for community, for culture, for the magic we co-create. This gathering has always been more than just a party; it’s a space to mark the endings and beginnings, to witness our growth, to lose ourselves in the music and find ourselves in each other. To everyone who has been part of this journey—thank you for the memories, the love, the dance, the art, the inspiration. This one, like always, is for you.

We also want to take a moment to thank our incredible team, who pour their hearts into making this event happen year after year. It’s a labor of love, and the real reward is seeing the joy on everyone’s faces, the community coming together, and the magic that unfolds when we all celebrate as one. And a special thank you to @jillmarie_wanderings - thank you - for your vision, your dedication, and for pouring so much of yourself into Vaayu, into Goa, and into the lives of everyone you've touched. As I finally say goodbye to India (at least for now)...I wanted to share the recap video from my last @vaayuvision New Year’s Family Gathering. For 2025, I choose the theme Elemental Rituals. I wanted to acknowledge and embody the elements of nature in the design and intention for the event. Each element has something different to teach us, reminding us of the power, wisdom, and interconnection of the natural environment which we are all intrinsically a part of. The elements and nature embody and understand that change is constant and the balance of beginnings and endings as an important part of life. I also believe that together we are the fifth element, aether, that which connects. Our shared love for this community and culture is what connects us. We may come from different parts of India and the world, from different religions, and different walks of life…but our love for this community and the culture we seek to co-create together is what brings us together. I believe it is important to have rituals to mark the beautiful and often too quick procession of time. It helps us have markers as we look back to witness our collective growth, celebrate life, and spend time with those we love most. To me the Vaayu New Years Gathering was our shared ritual, one of the things over the last 12 years, that I looked forward to most. This one was for you, my beloved community who taught me so much and inspired me every single day to show up and create. Thank you for the memories, thank you for love, thank you for the dance, thank you for the music, thank you for the art, thank you for the inspiration. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Until I see you again you have all my love and belief that together we can and will co-create the more beautiful world we know to be possible within our hearts.

Still feeling the afterglow of 25th January - Gonno (@djgonno), Myles Greenwood (@myles_greenwood_), and Aaguu (@_aaguu_) delivered a session that felt like it could go on forever. Gonno’s set was pure hypnosis, holding the floor in a trance till the first light of morning. Myles brought his off-kilter grooves, while Aaguu kept the pulse steady, laying foundation for the night seamlessly. Along with the lovely team from @infinitylasersandlighting, it was a dreamy ride - a never-ending dance that goes straight into our books.

We are back with another round of belters this weekend. Get ready 💥

A few glimpses into a night that we are still reeling from.

Two weeks ago, @_aaguu_ created a dreamscape on our floor with an all-night solo set, completely redefining the dancefloor experience for us. Paired with the synergetic analog visuals by Chris and his team from @infinitylasersandlighting, the space transformed into a dynamic interplay of sound and vision ✨
