The Founder Interview with the CEO of @wornagainclub, Courtney O’Connor.

Q: What exactly is Worn Again Club?
A: Worn Again Club is a sustainability initiative founded on a simple belief that we can solve many problems at once.
We offer free clothing pickup from your door, and we give every piece a purposeful second life. Special pieces are resold to fund the initiative. Everyday pieces are given to local organizations and the families they serve. Fabric goes to local fashion and design students. What is truly worn out is textile recycled. Nothing we collect touches a landfill.

Q: What inspired you to launch this initiative?
A: The inspiration was personal. As a true vintage lover, I spent two decades in fashion believing that the best pieces are the ones that last. Then I saw footage of the clothing deserts: mountains of discarded garments piling up and burning in the driest places on earth, most of them made from plastic rather than natural fibers, releasing their toxic load into the soil, the water and the air for generations. It broke my heart, and it made the mission clear.
Worn Again Club exists to lighten that load. We serve our local communities, we lower the impact of what we wear on the only planet we have, and we make it effortless for every household to be part of the solution. You book in sixty seconds. We come to your door. Your clothes go on to matter again.

Q: Where is the Worn Again Club?
A: Miami and Palm Beach County now, the Hamptons in spring and summer. With plans to expand to New York City soon. Booking takes sixty seconds.
