I am so honored to have been featured by the @inglesidelight Thank you for the cover. Go check them out because Ingleside is where it’s at! 🗞️

Growing up in San Francisco, I’ve always admired City College’s mission @officialccsf I’ve seen City College from the kitchen window my whole life, and I can’t believe I have the honor of serving as board president of the best institution to exist.

Biggest thank you to brilliant writer Anne Marie Kristoff @akrist06 for taking the time to interview me, it was a pleasure!

“Here was a person from the city who recognized their importance, shepherded them through this process, celebrated with them, supported them, marketed them,” he said. “And I think it’s a rare thing where you have somebody at City Hall who you feel like really cares.” SF Heritage's Woody LaBounty to SF Gate

Thank you to the @inglesidelight and @sfgate for covering the recent cuts to SF's Legacy Business Program Manager position and the program's Business Stabilization Fund. The city has affirmed its commitment to continuing the Legacy Business Program despite these cuts, and we look forward to working with the Office of Small Business to ensure that this program does not become de-prioritized and continues to serve as a crucial city benefit.

🚃 We're looking forward tomorrow to hosting friends inside one of the city’s most under-appreciated historic complexes: The Geneva “Car Barn” and Powerhouse (2301 San Jose Avenue). We're now at-capacity, thanks to everyone who signed up!

Thanks to @signsbymeng for designing this limited-edition poster for this landmark's 125th birthday! We're stoked to share it as a keepsake with our Local Hero and Landmark Club members of Special City.

🌳🌱 Last week, the Historic Preservation Commission approved the adoption of the "Gardens in the City: San Francisco Residence Parks, 1906-1940, Historic Context Statement."

Context statements like these are crucial resources in historic preservation and planning work, and Gardens in the City provides an overview of the development of Jordan Park, West Clay Park, Ingleside Terraces, Forest Hill, St. Francis Wood, Sea Cliff, Lincoln Manor and Balboa Terrace.

Thank you to historian Richard Brandi for his work on residence parks in SF and helping to see this context statement through. In addition to highlighting the beautiful designs, architects, and developers of these parks, the context statement crucially illuminates difficult parts of our past through its documentation of restrictive racial housing covenants. This multi-faceted history will help us acknowledge our history and evaluate our futures as this city continues to change and grow.
