HAPPY 40th BIRTHDAY!!!

Happy birthday to my best friend!!! You are a treasure and a blessing from God. From our devotions we do together, praying together, encouraging each other, our talks, and sharing our Proffee of the day. You are absolutely the best. Not only a friend but my family. I love you so much.

Today is your day friend. Enjoy every bit of it!! I love you!!

Being a bariatric patient and indulging in dining out at a restaurant CAN co-exist. You can still have a guilt-free spot at the table by planning ahead, choosing healthier menu options like lean proteins and non-starchy vegetables, ordering smaller portions, eating slowly and mindfully, avoiding high-fat and sugary foods to prevent dumping syndrome, and being flexible by swapping out unwanted sides or asking for sauces on the side.

Taking home leftovers and focusing on the social aspect of dining can also enhance the experience!

The latter is what I personally choose to focus on while enjoying my bit of garlic mashed potatoes and small slice of cheesecake for dessert 😋😉 BALANCE. MINDFUL MODERATION is what this is all about for me.

Focus on conversation: Remember that dining out is a social activity. Enjoy the company of your friends and family rather than focusing on the QUANTITY of food you're eating.

I enjoyed this meal three times over, as I was diligent in stopping when I felt full each time. I was proud of myself... it's not always easy when you spent decades feeling the need to finish your plate (plus seconds, thirds...) all while making yourself feel sick.

Losing 140 lbs allowed me to LIVE LIFE, and I'll do just that, to the fullest every day!

I must admit that iced protein coffees spend their time being either my most recent coping strategy or my love language. Or maybe a bit of both 🤷🏼‍♀️

Who can relate??
Where are my iced coffee drinkers at??

My mornings off work don't look so glamorous, but this is my space once the kiddos are off to school.... and sometimes my space gets invaded by my husband with his "man mind" #iykyk I mean, the whipped cold foam topping is indeed the BEST PART 😉

Make my morning protein coffee a.k.a. proffee with me and hubs!! @justin_bianco1981

Tonight we were in the second week of our Revelation study (the letter to the church of Smyrna)

We learned that the sufferings and trials in this present life do not compare to the glory that lies ahead.

Romans 8:17-18 - “if indeed we suffer with Him so that we also may be glorified with Him. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.”

Taco Tuesday!🔥🔥

Last night, our young adults studied in Psalms 34, “God is my refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear…”

No matter what we face in our lives, God is our hope! We can rest assured that He is always there for us and we can find rest in Him.

Young adults, come be apart! @epicchurchatlinwood
