We have a tendency to undervalue ourselves when we’re older in business.

We’re so used to pleasing everyone else that we often discount what we offer to make it fit!

Familiar story?

I call it the experience discount when we penalise ourselves for being faster, forgetting that it’s taken us years to get that fast (which is why we need to stop charging by the hour… a whole other video!).

The reframe comes when you start to communicate the value in what you’re offering in terms of outcomes and the problems that you’re solving with all your decades of wisdom.

As we get older in business we risk getting super stuck in our ways….

And if you aren’t aware of where you get stuck it can lead to mental FRICTION in how you show up - or as we explored in @founders40up this week it’s what puts you in a state that’s the opposite of FLOW.

@richmonddinh calls these the 7 deadly P’s, meaning the:
Pessimist
Procrastinator
Periodic
Perfectionist
Pretender
Pleaser
Proud

We all show a little bit of each but there’s usually a couple that show up more than others that can really hinder our progress (in biz & life!)

Engagement is what’s rewarded - using all the buttons and features the platforms want you to.

Even though hitting like and dropping an emoji might feel like you’re showing love - it’s not actually helping them out with getting further reach (especially for smaller accounts)

Here’s 4 helpful things you can do that really count (and actually help them!)
