As a yoga teacher, conversations around class types are frequent.
It can truly be a hunt trying to find a studio AND teacher(s) that we connect with.

This practice brings together so many different walks of life, and the human journey is built upon many layers of experience.
Our practices mean something different to each of us, but more often than not… we are searching for some kind of relief.

And in order to create that space, trust is a foundational pillar in any relationship.

I know for me, my practice completely changed the trajectory of my life. I found yoga in the search for refuge.
Learning to trust my own teachers came with many obstacles. When I think back to the beginning of my journey, I remember my body jolting at the slightest touch when a teacher came over to assist me…no matter how safe or supportive.

But they opened the door just enough to let me know I was seen… safe… and cared for.

It wasn’t just a movement practice anymore.
It was learning how to feel safe in my body… while under pressure and slowly becoming a pretzel 😂

As both a student and teacher, I honor the many layers of our personal experiences and our experiences as a collective. Holding space for others is truly a humbling honor, and it’s something I don’t take lightly.

We are not bits and pieces of our story.
We are the whole damn thing.

Yoga teaches us how to accept and alchemize all that has been, appreciate the present moment, and when we choose, it’s not from an old wiring system but from the center of who we are. 💜
Simple… but so very complex. 😅

If you’re looking to start your practice
Or
If you’re looking for new spaces to practice
You can practice with me in studio or online!
@inharmonyoga offers your first week FREE. That gives you time to try a few styles of practice, meet a few teachers, and see what best fits your needs. 💜
+ gain a whole community of really wonderful people along the way. ✨

“You’ll spend on gym shoes, tennis rackets, running gear…
but still use a cheap yoga mat?”

Your mat is your foundation.
Grip. Stability. Alignment. Practice quality.

Invest accordingly
