Tender Frictions — Final Exhibition ✨

After an intense period of exchange, exploration, and dialogue, we presented Tender Frictions, the final exhibition of our international art program. A one-day show that brought together diverse practices, sensibilities, and perspectives within a shared space.

We are deeply grateful to all the artists for their generosity, commitment, and presence, and to Local7 for hosting us and making this gathering possible.

Through deliberate cropping and controlled framing, In June isolates his subjects from their original context, inviting a closer and more concentrated act of looking. His paintings heighten the tension between image and interpretation, turning specificity into a method for dissection and re-enactment of the familiar.

We are pleased to welcome In June Park (@injunee) to our International Program.

In June works with painting as a way to slow down how images circulate and construct meaning. Drawing from personal experience, migration, and a wide range of collected imagery—archival material, snapshots, and digital sources—his practice examines how memory and power are embedded within images over time.

Through processes of layering, staining, and cropping, Park isolates images from their original contexts, allowing new narratives to emerge through material transformation and duration.

We look forward to the perspectives he brings to Radio28cs during this residency.
