EN/RU: Thoughts on miscarriage, God, and trust ❤️🙏🏻

Losing my baby through miscarriage has been incredibly painful. As a mother, I wanted to see my baby grow. I wanted to know who this little person would become. I wanted to hold my baby in my arms.

But I also believe that God gave me this precious child to carry under my heart for those three months for a reason.

I may not understand that reason now.

And I may never understand it completely on this side of heaven. But I choose to trust God’s plan even when my heart hurts.

One day, I believe I will meet my baby in heaven.

“The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.” - Psalm 34:18

I am learning that faith does not mean we never cry. Faith means we keep trusting God while we cry.

Through this experience, I have also learned something from other mothers who have experienced miscarriage or the loss of a child.

Some were afraid to talk about what happened.
Some felt ashamed.
Some wished someone had noticed what they were going through or simply asked, “How are you really doing?”

But because nobody knew, they were left carrying an enormous hole in their hearts and an emptiness in their souls.

Some are still hurting.
Some are still angry with God.
Some are still trying to understand why.

And I want to say this to anyone walking through that kind of loss: Please don’t be afraid to ask for help. You do not have to carry your grief alone.

As Christians, we are one body. When one person is hurting, we are called to come alongside them, pray with them, cry with them, feed them, listen to them, and help carry their burden.

“Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.” - Romans 12:15

We never know what tomorrow may bring or what kind of storm we may have to walk through ourselves.

So let’s be the people who show up for one another.
