Super excited that about Risa Nyman’s Facebook book party launch of her debut middle grade novel, Swallowed by a Secret January 21st from 8-9:30. I had the pleasure of reading the novel recently. I will not forget the hero, the mystery he needs to resolve or the answer he finds for a very long time. Hope to see you there. You can check out my more in-depth review on @goodreads under the handle KristineCarter. Risa attracted the interest of the @immortalworks through Twitter plug for her book. Risa is in my amazing Middle Grade Pro workshop led by @jenmalonewrites on the platform @inked_voices https://www.facebook.com/events/1598242817000734/ #booklaunch #booklaunchparty #debutbook #middlegradebook #newauthor #authorevent #scbwi #facebookparty

In-depth Interview with Fab Writing Teacher and Author @jenmalonewrites at @inked_voices. This fall and winter, I’ve had the pleasure of taking a Pro Middle Grade Writing Class with MG/YA authorJen Malone through the Inked Voices platform. I love the way Jen balances positive feedback with honest critiques and ideas/tools for improving. We submit up to 5,000 words a month with the same writers. This consistency has really helped me grow as a writer and go further with my manuscripts than I have before. Check out the interview of her in below link that Brooke McIntyre (founder of @inked_voices) pulled together based on questions all of the students in my class asked Jen, including two from yours truly. I love Jen’s insights on social media, publishing realities and author salaries. If you are an aspiring or published writer, this is an article you don’t want to miss out on! Also wanted to put in a plug for @inked_voices, a fantastic platform to critique writing in an online group setting. You can join an existing group or set up your own. Easy to upload submissions, add comments to writing of others and download critiques, as well as have group discussions on writing process, etc. Brooke has been amazingly helpful with answering my many questions. https://blog.inkedvoices.com/interview-with-jen-malone/?fbclid=IwAR39A6Yf38wKtrapS9MDhMtcwKwrj2tGKAwbemVoNVp72siesPlKM51mayM #amwriting #authorinterview #jenmalone #middlegradewriter #youngadultwriter #interview #writingclass #writinginfo #writingcommunity #writingteacher #writingteacherrecommedation #critiquegroup
