If this place never found me, I wouldn’t be doing hair today. All it took was a client from Chairez that came to my previous job just for a blowout and highly recommend me to be recruited. At the time I was so defeated, Dry almost killed any spark I had for wanting to keep working in the industry. Working with such unprofessional and dysfunctional management left me desperate to work anywhere until I figure out what to do with myself. Working at Chairez gave me hope and by the time I started, everything was already a complete 180 difference. They invited me to go to Anaheim for my first hair show, I didn’t even know that was a thing. And now I’m platform artist and educator with Caliber.
I’ve learned so so much from everyone who is and who have worked at Chairez, and have made great friendships. Yall know I’m not religious or spiritual in any sense, but I really see this as a huge blessing in my life.
It was bittersweet packing up everything from my station because the last time I packed up all my stuff from a station, (before Dry) I was fired, screwed over and humiliated by an owner who had no compassion for my situation and mocked me for grieving my cousin who had passed away.
Now, I was packing up from a place I will miss, from a place with professional and respectful and super talented people who helped me grow when I almost gave up. I was packing up excited for the next step, not because I was being forced to or had no choice, but because I’m ready.
I’m also tired af 😂 but the love for hair keeps me going! You guys keep me going fr 🫶🏼
I wanna thank @chairezcoiffure for having me and being a safe place for me and my clients, and for being a place for growth and compassion. Definitely gunna miss seeing everyone’s faces cuz yall always put a smile on my face. Love you guys! 🤍
