Man, moments like these remind me why I love what I do. It’s the people, the conversations, the laughter, the love, and all the stories behind every piece!! 🙌🏽

We may not get another moment with the people we’ve lost, but we can always find ways to keep their memory alive🐆❤️

Huge thank you to David and the First Coast Living family for this unforgettable experience! Truly a blessing! 🙏🏽

Now I wanna ask YOU… if you could give someone one more hug, who would it be? ❤️‍🩹

What if becoming a better artist starts with understanding yourself? 👀

Today at @inktopurpose , we connected a powerful lesson from Daniel Goleman’s Emotional Intelligence 📚 “Know Thyself” transitioning into the art of drawing portraits✍🏽

Before we can understand the emotions in someone else’s face, we must learn to recognize and understand our own!!

Self awareness teaches us to recognize our emotions. Patience teaches us not to let those emotions control our progress🐆

Every student chose a different portrait, but they all approached their drawings using the same techniques, principles, and foundations. Different faces, different challenges and perspectives but one room, learning and growing together🤍

The lesson I want YOU to take away:

Don’t judge your progress by what your work looks like halfway through. Learn to appreciate the process of who you’re becoming while creating it. These portraits aren’t finished yet, and neither is their growth. That’s the beauty of it!!!

I’m proud of these students for showing up, challenging themselves, and continuing to develop not only their artistic abilities but their minds🙌🏽❤️

Stay tuned for the final results of their portraits! You’re gonna wanna see how these drawings come together🔥
