Big sappy post incoming 😭

I’ve gone to so many conventions over the last 16 years that sometimes they bleed together but Colossal 2026 was truly one of the best ones in recent memory. The last 6 years of cosplay has been a slow going hard reset since 2020 for many reasons, partly the pandemic and partly my transitioning journey, and finally getting to a place where I feel comfortable with myself and my abilities to keep moving forward at a good pace 💪

Deciding to compete with Olruggio was a bit of a spur of the moment, and maybe some pressure from @visualsongstress, but it was well worth it! I had already gotten him completed but I wanted to make updates to make him competition worthy and try my hand at competing! I haven’t competed in 10 years, and it was nerve wracking for sure.

As always many thanks to my darling @tuna_snug (who got BEST OVERALL CRAFTSMAN!!! 💖💖) for always standing in my corner and rooting me on, giving advice when needed and being simply amazing. You inspire me to always keep at it and I love you so much 😭💖

Many thanks to all the lovely judges at the competition @malinda_chan @turtlesmithycos @owleeriecosplay @paigesicle_art @dr_andyoffice and especially @sournine for the Judge’s Award! I am so honored to be selected out of all the wonderful contestants this year 🥹🥹 Yall made my first year back so memorable.

Also getting to meet @thejoshuawatersva was such a lovely treat!!! I hope you had a lovely time!! 💖💖💖

Special shout out to the crew @theheebiegiibies @tothestarsandbackcosplay @koalois @savagedragoon @kydkindred @magpieofmagic and to all the new and wonderful people I met this weekend for making it all so memorable 🥹🥹💖💖 My heart is so full!

Next stop, Masturicon! (With some Ren Faires along the way of course!)

There's no way the Foxes and Ravens were passing up a Colossalcon photo booth with a magazine cover.

What does the fox say?

About 3 weeks before Colossal I was told about #allforthegame and I was like yeah whatever. About 2 weeks before Colossal I was speed reading the first three overnight at work. About 1 week before Colossal I was asking my dad where to get my hands on 48493484940 lacrosse sticks. Sighs. This wasn’t on my 2025 bingo card but here we are.

"It feels like you can fix the whole damn galaxy with someone looking at you that way.”

It was an absolute blast being able to photograph @cloudkbd and @inkycosplay at @baselfieshop! The place was amazing, the sets were fun, the staff was perfect, and I can't wait to go back with more people! The fact that my favorite couple was cosplaying from one of my favorite podcasts ( @thepenumbrapodcast ) just made it the perfect day!

Continuing my “let’s show my cosplay portfolio” bid. Gurren Lagann is still one of my favorite anime’s and, of course, I had to be the himbo. This was another huge triumph for me. I patterned the jumpsuit from scratch and made my first functioning pockets. It was also a chance to cosplay with two amazing friends at Otakon!
