🕷️ REMEMBER WHEN HORROR MOVIES WERE JUST PLAIN FUN?! Because Crawlers is bringing back the throwback horror energy we’ve been missing! We caught up with Melina Matthews (The Last Voyage of the Demeter, Warrior Nun) to talk about how Crawlers channels the nostalgic spirit of ’80s and ’90s horror movies, when creepy creatures, practical effects, outrageous scares, and a little camp were all part of the fun. There’s something special about old-school creature features. They didn’t always take themselves too seriously, and that was part of their charm! Crawlers taps into that same energy, reminding us why we fell in love with horror movies in the first place. In Crawlers, a deadly spider infestation turns an apartment building into a living nightmare. With the building under police quarantine, the trapped residents must battle an increasingly terrifying invasion of eight-legged creatures. Directed by Ángel Gómez Hernández and starring Matilda Lutz (Revenge), Gregg Sulkin (Runaways), and Melina Matthews, Crawlers arrives in theaters October 16. Between the nostalgic horror vibes, creepy practical effects, and creature-feature chaos, Crawlers feels like a love letter to the horror movies we grew up watching. 🕸️ 🎬 Horror fans, what’s one ’80s or ’90s horror movie you wish Hollywood would make more movies like today? 🎙️ @cjameesxo #Crawlers #MelinaMatthews #HorrorMovies #90sHorror #CreatureFeature

#ZeroAD #TheBirthOfChrist #Jesus #JesusChrist #God #Cine #Trailer #NerksNews

A monster movie with real cultural teeth 🐍🩸 Forget cheap jump scares and generic CGI. In his latest survival horror, director Mike P. Nelson (Wrong Turn) dives deep into the heart of the Amazon with Beware Boiúna—and delivers an 8/10 creature feature that actually means something. Here’s why it stands out: 🌿 Rooted in Myth & Reality: Opens with authentic Indigenous myth surrounding the sacred apex guardian serpent, framed against the brutal, real-world destruction caused by illegal gold mining. ⏳ 70s Slow-Burn Dread: The tension doesn't come from cheap shocks—it builds deliberate, character-driven dread reminiscent of 1970s survival classics. 🔥 Kiana Madeira’s Tour-de-Force: As Lena, Madeira puts on an absolute masterclass in gritty, physical endurance. After a mid-movie twist changes everything, the second half turns into a relentless, mud-soaked battle of pure survival. 🐊 Tangible Practical Horror: Leaning heavily into practical effects, the creature carries genuine, terrifying weight in the suffocating humidity of the jungle. ⭐️ Rating: 8/10 👉 Read the full review by @latinoslant at the link in bio! #BewareBoiuna #HorrorMovies #FilmReview #SurvivalHorror #CreatureFeature #KianaMadeira #LatinxCinema #TheLatinoSlant #AmazonFolklore #IndieHorror #HorrorCommunity #70sHorror #MovieReview

Nelson about what it was really like filming a survival horror movie deep in the Amazon, where the environment could literally change overnight. He shares how the unpredictable jungle became part of the filmmaking process, including returning to one location the next day only to find it no longer existed. Nelson, Beware Boiúna follows a group of doctors on a humanitarian mission deep in the Amazon who find themselves fighting for survival against an enormous predator. The film stars Jessica Rothe (Happy Death Day), Kiana Madeira (Fear Street), and Logan Marshall-Green (Upgrade). 🐍 Beware Boiúna hits theaters October 2. #BewareBoiuna #MikePNelson #HorrorMovies #CreatureFeature #BehindTheScenes
