Round 5 and 6 of @dirttrackriders National Championship at @workycomets this weekend could’ve gone better🙈. I found the track tricky, due to the heat and had a tough weekend of racing. I had my best race of the weekend in the final on Sunday, I was disappointed to qualify 11th but I managed to finally find my pace making my way through the field to 5th place. Sadly I overcooked it at that point and low sided out of turn 4. I slid along unscathed until I looked up and saw a bike heading straight for me! I tried to move and just managed to get my head out of the way but was kneed in the head and the bike caught my ribs. I tried to move off the track but I couldn’t get up with the pain. The rider was the first person to get to me, followed by @max.inman, the medics, @buster871 @pistolkimber and track team. The result was put back a lap so I finished P7 (also finished P7 Saturday). I did say I wanted to try and get up so the pros could race but the medics weren’t impressed by that🤣. An ambulance trip later and some X-rays, I’m told I have my 2nd concussion this year and bruising. I was advised to take at least 6 weeks off the bike so unfortunately that’s this season over for me. It’s racing & as we know, this kind of incident can happen! I’ll take this time to rest and recover and come back stronger next year💪. I’d like to thank all of my sponsors for their continued support especially @re_zro for keeping me safe, yet again❤️‍🩹. I was lucky to come out of it with just bruised ribs and not broken ones! Thank you for all of your kind messages to myself and Dad, I will get back to you all when I’m feeling a bit better🥰✨.

@acubritishflattrack British Championships Round 1 & 2 off to a good start this weekend!
I was struggling all weekend with my transition from mid-corner to corner exit & I couldn’t figure out why. Today we realised that my tyre had a bulge - manufacturing fault😳. I seem to attract bike issues at this point🙈 - it’s been added onto our list of things to check on race weekend!
Once we realised what the problem was I was able to start riding around the issue, allowing it to break traction & bounce around on corner exit🤣. @peterboast checked it before heat 3, after noticing the bouncing earlier on, & said as long as I’m happy to continue riding on it then he was ok with it. I finished P2 in yesterdays final & P1 today! Couldn’t be happier with that👌. Thank you to all of the sponsors & @pistolkimber Happy Father’s Day!!😜.
