This was my most recent glass work, just getting around to posting it now. Since January I haven’t made any visual Art, as I felt like I needed a breather after last years Exhibition. It has been One year since @innativecollective ´s show “Fables from Earth and Sky “, I’ve attached a video at the end of these slides for context. It was a massive undertaking and we really all went fully into the creative process together. 8/8. It is amazing what is achieved when you have Vision.

This year i decided to put some energy towards other projects like @bluetung.co and my Alchemical Laboratory Studies. Which has felt great, and slowly my inspiration has returned for the visual art again and I can start to see new works forming within. Stay tuned.

On the anniversary of our art show 8/8 this year I was with my closest friend , in my 7th Vipassana sitting, so quite the opposite of experience, very outwards last year and very inwards this.

Yet the teaching still remains the same.

Once upon a time exhibited 'Plant Magic' with a group of legends within the artistic world of Melbourne Artists. Innative Collective hosted quite a magnificant group exhibition and I were very delighted to of been apart of this, this was before certifying my artistic ways of brushworking and painterly fun.

I sit on the train with my suitcase & hat - journeying back west. My life in boxes on the back of a truck rolling across the nullabor. The 3rd pilgrimage they’ve made as I ping pong, split across a vast country.

Roots in the west, creative soul family in the east.

Reflecting on my time in Victoria, I can sum up the pull of my heart in this one video. Every one of these people and @innativecollective as its own pulsating creative force, magnetising me here.

Here’s a little look in to a very special night, and people who give the most magnificent glimmer in my life.

Immense gratitude to a dream still very much alive 💫🤍

It’s somehow taken 2 months to say or share anything at all about our group exhibition “Fables from earth and sky” 🥲 Thank you to @sundropvisual for capturing these beautiful scenes which really paints a picture of the night ❤️‍🔥

Never have I ever poured so much energy into making something come together, I have such a new depth of respect for anyone who puts on an event. From galleries to weddings to festivals - just wow. So many moving parts. I think I can speak for us all that we crashed out pretty hard afterwards and needed to take a serious breath.

It was an absolute joy and honour to have so many friends, family and strangers show up for us. Honestly the whole night is quite a blur for me, but I was moved to tears multiple times that evening by the sweet faces of support.

For 8 months we worked on art and on the vision for the show, and it came together on 08/08 for a brief flicker of time. I know that I am changed by it 🦋 and have learned more than I can try to put into words here.

Big love to the @innativecollective family, bonded and forged by fire - such a dope ass joy to do something so cool with the homies. To make core memories.

After 6 years since their last show together, @innativecollective returns with their unique storytelling through the lenses of paintings, glass and sculpture.

Innative is the adjective to innate. Which means, existing or originating within: inborn. Our ethos with the art that we create within the Innative umbrella stems from a common thread of earth based psychedelia, and storytelling from the deep well of a common subconscious we share as humans of the earth. To try and express the inner-knowing, connection to all things, connection to nature and the earth as well as what it beyond it all in the great mystery of life and space. Fables from Earth and Sky aims to do just this, inviting the viewer into a state of interconnectedness with all things. As above, so below. To acknowledge the mythic and the sacred, the strange and the meaningful.

seeing these pieces framed for the upcoming @innativecollective exhibition (08/08) is making it all feel very real! framing is just such a yummy cherry on top, like making a nice wooden home for the stories you tell.

The first painting that I started for this show (using oils as a new medium) is inspired by the 8 of pentacles tarot card. This is pretty special in hindsight, as this card is all about head down, dedication to your craft. Mastery through consistent effort. I had just decided that my new studio axiom would be “chop wood carry water”, which feels like a cousin to this card. Through practice and perseverance, putting in the hours, the days, the weeks — you will reach your goals.

I’ve been humbled by the simple truth and really enjoying the consistency in the studio these days. A few weeks ago, we had an @innativecollective art jam to stoke the fire of this upcoming group show (08/08) and it was really special. Basking in the group juju really allowed me to break through some blocks I had in a particular painting which was how paved the way to a whole new style. The paintings since then, have been fluid and easeful. Like the first letter of a new alphabet.

Creating alongside these beautiful people who all inspire me so deeply and dearly is a major treat. To get to show with them is equally as sweet. Onwards and upwards @innativecollective 🤎
