L I M I N A L is OUT everywhere !!!

there is a special beauty that resides in the in-between seasons that we so often find ourselves in. the waiting and waiting and waiting. the transition. the not there yet. my hope with this song is to highlight this beauty. more of my thoughts on the song to come, but for now i want to take this post to be sappy and gushy over some very important people.

@davidbrymer so INCREDIBLY breathed life into this song, and highlighted every detail with his creativity and art. he made this little piece of my heart sound so beautiful, and become a gift that i can give to you now.
@neilbroere who’s life lived out tells the story of the Faithful One who he knows how to sit with. i have never seen the sacredness of this space lost on him. (s/o liminal book)
@lbroere who has walked thru many a liminal season before my eyes with sure steps that turned the often times scary word “transition” into an invitation to intimacy with Jesus.
And simeon, who captured the moment that felt so right to represent the song as the cover.
thank you thank you thank you. i LOVE you. i love this song. i am so happy to give it to you.

At long last, The Windows, Vol 1, my second full length album, is finally here!! 🤲🏽 It’s been a 10 year journey, with a lot of life lived since the idea for this album was conceived. The cover was designed in 2017 of a younger David, and I decided to keep it, these songs spanning over 25 years of writing… and as the first volume of this body of work, I couldn’t be more thankful and excited that it is finally out in the world. 🤍 These songs are really not mine, they’re yours to enjoy. I wrote and recorded them as an offering to the Lord who inspired them, and I pray they help open your heart and reveal things about Jesus that make you want to cry. Sending lots of love to you all. Thank you for listening. 🙏🏽

FOLLOW YOU (SPIRIT WAY) is out now!!! I asked my wife how she felt after listening and she described it as ‘peaceful sorrow’. That’s exactly what was going on in my soul as I wrote it.. wrote it on my birthday a couple months ago, and it felt like a song for me this next year. Now it feels like a song for all of us these days… to follow Jesus no matter the cost, knowing He works out all things together for good. 🤍💙🧡
