till 13/9 @hotelvandevijsel

“Photography captures what disappears almost immediately. One frame, one fragment. Unlike film or writing,
it does not unfold over time. It stops time.
And it asks the viewer to complete what is missing.”

Passion is the second chapter of ‘the Space between Us’
a four-part series exploring intimacy, connection and
what it means to be truly seen.

When loudness becomes the norm,
softness becomes a position. And sometimes gentleness
is the most radical gesture of all.

‘the Space between Us’ started as something deeply personal. A quiet exploration of intimacy, connection, tenderness, vulnerability and trust. Created from a place I didn’t initially intend to share with the world.

Showing this work publicly feels both exciting and vulnerable. These images hold a part of me. They were never created for validation, but from a need to explore something that felt important. Only later did they grow into something shared, carried by the support of people who believed in the story and helped bring it to life. And there I am having my first exhibition.

Every creative project begins with an idea, but it only becomes real through connection and collaboration. The people around me: the artists, the team, and those who trusted the process, shaped this work as much as I did.

I believe the most powerful moments happen when intention and freedom meet. You create the foundation, build the trust, and then allow space for something unexpected to emerge.

This project taught me to trust my instincts more deeply.
To create from conviction rather than expectation.

A special thank you to everyone who contributed, supported, and believed in ‘the Space between Us’.
This story exists because it was never created alone.

Being on maternity leave has given me some time to revisit my archives while nursing my baby boy, and I came across this gem of a shoot that I wanted to share with you again.
