In this chaotic world, it seems more of us than ever are searching for something to hold onto. The rise of online spirituality—oracle cards, tarot pulls, astrology, even aura nails—speaks to this deeper need for connection, not just to ourselves, but to each other. This Solstice, I joined @wedontknowwhatthisis23 in honouring that instinct. Swipe for some contradictory text-image placements. The last slide is from the event organiser, which speaks directly to this morning’s Solstice, but also, unexpectedly, to my own exploration into the surge in people seeking out spiritual practises.

We all need a time out. So when I was offered a class at @remindstudio it was a little beacon of joy in my inbox. There are classes covering Breathework, Crystal Bowls, Reiki energy work, Somatic yoga and Tarot. I love Tarot and I felt I was in need of some inner calm and clarity then @tornjamo class caught my eye. He is a remarkable man and I left his class feeling grounded and clear. His tarot reading was also remarkably accurate and insightful to current circumstances. I will be going back. For him and the @hackneyherbal teas.

S O L S T I C E

*every* year I toy with the idea of going to Stonehenge but the traffic issue is too much - next year!?

When I was mapping out the cosmic club in June I put this in the schedule as a retreat adjunct to the club. Something IRL and special for solstice.

It’s one of those things that sat on the list “find a venue” etc etc - anyway we did it and thank you sooooo much to everyone who came. Thank you to @rosiemorganmedium for being brilliant and also so funny 😆😆♐️. (Watching Rosie talk with the ancestors is something special.)

I know loads of people can’t make it because you don’t live in London, have children, an insanely busy life etc! But it’s great to find ways to connect. Organising IRL stuff is such a pain in the arse but always worth it. 😆

When I run @astrologyretreats I like how people just switch off, chat and have to be chased to move. I have to be bossy but it works 😆😆 everyone zones out, has a natter and waits to be told what to do. It’s good to switch off.

In this week’s @theastrologyoddcast I talk about the solstice chart. Look at that lushness. There’s so much TAURUS STUFF and I’m so here for it. It’s giving Y2K. 😍

Moon Jupiter in Taurus at 0 degrees with the Sun at 0 Capricorn. Make great wishes, dream big dreams, have hope! @queercosmos just made a reel on this because he’s annoying and we always have the same thoughts but he spins them into a story and I just drop the info in a matter of fact way. I’ve included my insta story from last night to showcase the difference. 😆😆

Wow! What a day!

World Menopause Day yesterday was very special for me.

Last week, while I was in Canada, I received an invitation from AAPG Menopause and @menopausemandate to attend a breakfast reception in the House of Lords for the launch of their “Manifesto for Menopause”.

Although my flight back to London was booked for this weekend, I changed my flight so that I could make the breakfast. This was not an opportunity to be missed.

And I was not disappointed!

The gorgeous Cholmondeley Room in the House of Lords with sweeping views of the river Thames was full of women who are menopause trailblazers and who I have been following for years. It was so special to meet them in person and share a hug. As for the breakfast, I was so busy meeting others that I didn’t get a chance to eat!

I was also invited to attend a panel discussion on menopause diversity and inclusivity in the workplace at @hollandandbarrett in Marble Arch where I met and hugged more meno warriors.

I had bought a ticket to attend the Walk in the Park organised by @menopausemandate but I chose to skip it due to the wind, rain and jet lag.

It was a memorable day overall and one I shall keep in my heart. I think I have tagged everyone I hugged and I hope I haven’t forgotten anyone.

A huge thank you to my husband Paul without whose support, encouragement and credit card, none of this would have been possible. He is my soul mate❤️

Ps My selfies are terrible because my arms are too short but thank goodness for the kind souls who saw me struggle and offered to take photos for me❤️

This week, Mai and Luke had a tiny bebeh 👶🏼, I became a dog mum for 5 days, went to 3 art exhibitions, made and hung some ginormous curtains for the studio and finally got to @charlestontrust to feed my handmade lamp obsession.

It’s been a bit quiet around these parts 👋 we’ve been heads down planning for 2023 and Googling the best chrissy presents for clients. So to pacify the grid guilt here’s some kind words mega babe @bridgetmarch said about one of our pitches in her industry column a few months back. We only just found out 🏆
I’m becoming quite anti the ‘perfect pitching’ chat this industry peddles. From experience, striving for perfection is often at the expense of being a human, who is simply talking to other humans through a screen. I always taught my teams to keep it real, relatable (stat me up 📈) but genuinely the main thing for me is just to make someone smile. Break that skim reading stress-cycle, even just for a mini moment. Leave the robot pitching at the door.

Choosing what to wear has always caused me issues. I put something on, feel amazing, leave the house and suddenly I am so uncomfortable that all I want to do is come home, rip my clothes off and hide under a duvet. On the regular, I end up crying over a pile of discarded outfits. It definitely contributes to me being late. Or not wanting to go anywhere at all.

In order to reform myself I chatted to therapist @jodiecariss who really helped me reframe my feelings. Turns out I have a very anxious late style (seems obvious now 😂). As part of the feature I tried to sort out my clothes so they don't contribute to my lateness. And I have realised it is something I need to do again. Some of my fave outfits no longer fit and I am struggling to know which I want to keep *just in case* and which to let go of. Anyone else having this problem? I hate putting on an outfit that used to make me feel incredible only for it to feel too tight or no longer do up at all. (all thoughts welcome!).
