layers on layers - the details in this years show house are so full of whimsy and storytelling, transporting you into the intensely personal yet imaginary world of each designer. Theatrical, nuanced, collected, existing only for a brief shining moment and gone as quickly as it came, ephemeral, sublime. Bravo to all, feeling so very inspired. @kbshowhouse #interiordesign #kipsbayshowhouse

The 51st annual Kips Bay Designer Show House - a triumph of layering, nuance, and warmth, positively bursting with subversive undertones and nods to queer culture. I really loved how this year’s class brought individual passions and personality to each of the spaces, it seemed sexier and more modern to me than in years past - not a breaking with tradition per se but definitely turning up the heat and adding a bit of bad boy energy. Very much enamored with the results… congratulations to all involved. @kbshowhouse #interiordesign #interiors #interiorstyling #kipsbayshowhouse #greenwhichvillage

Amelanchier canadienses also belongs to the family of the roses and cherries and it’s a great alternative to introduce more native plant material to those in North America. Super fun and dynamic multi stem growth habit and it’s Loved by birds and wildlife! Great addition to our project in Greenwich, Connecticut!

The quote below by Salvador Dalí was one of our muses for Kips Bay, The Secret Garden:

“I try to create fantastic things, magical things, things like in a dream. The world needs more fantasy. Our civilization is too mechanical. We can make the fantastic real, and then it is more real than that which actually exists.”

We invite you to visit our surreal garden where imagination, art, nature, and fantasy come together.

Now open to the public through October 13
80 W. Washington New York, NY 10011
