BEATS BOOKS & BITES - 23 juni 2024 RECAP

Tell a friend to tell a friend!

Dit evenement is mede mogelijk gemaakt door @stichtingamsterdam750

BEATS BOOKS & BITES - The Third B in BEATS.

GEORGY MORHEA & The Friendsband.

Meet your Hostess.

Not only is this whole project founded and created by @musicbygeorgymorhea, she’s also the one in charge to run this whole project as a part of building her musical legacy alongside with other local talented artists & musicians.

The idea came from being booked as an artist at the @athenaeumzuidoost venue during the @amsterdamdanceevent in Amsterdam South East, to being fully in charge of the organization AND being one of the performing artists at the first ‘Club Athenaeum: BEATS BOOKS & BITES’.

A wonderful idea was born out of a dream to be featured once a tiny desk show, but also to make people realize how music, literature and food are not so different from an artistic point of view.
One thing let to another and after the first edition it was such a huge success that she and her project partner @macmilanor decided to create a team to execute this dream.
Months of hard work, countless meetings, writing project proposals, planning and organizing went by and on June 23rd this first official edition of ‘BEATS BOOKS & BITES’ was launched.
Y’all pulled up, showed up and supported this event together to celebrate and honor @black_music_appreciation_month ! It was such a huge succes.

As promised @musicbygeorgymorhea and ‘The Friendsband’ took the audience on a musical journey throughout the history of Black Music. A set of 45 minutes will never be enough to honor and celebrate all the amazing art that’s created by various musicians and artists, but they did their best to include most of it.

@georgymorhea is beyond grateful and touched by all the love and support that this project gets and can’t wait to host more editions!

Keep a close eye to her socials, but also our socials to see when the production that’s made will be released.
And of course to see what the next date of ‘BEATS BOOKS & BITES: Club Athenaeum’ will be.

Special thanks to @stichtingamsterdam750 to fund the this project.

Just one more day until our performance at @grandcafe.cascada.
✨Be sure to get those tickets!✨
You don’t wanna miss out on this debuting ADE party. (Link in Bio)

Its been a JOURNEY, to get to my debut at @amsterdamdanceevent, but I gained a lot from it. It showed me how deep my love for music goes, how you’re able to move mountains if you truly believe something is yours. How it feels to walk in your purpose, even when it’s not a pretty walk.. but you know me! I’ll make it look pretty in these 6inch heels, all day everyday 😂.
It also showed me who’s there with me, besides me, behind me, in front of me, but never above me.
It showed me how my Family is ALWAYS THERE.
It also showed me how my Friends are not my friends, but Family. I love you guys above & beyond.
Special thanks to @joysinar & @tasshjja 🩷

They say it takes a village to raise a child, but I also believe that it takes a village to build on your dreams, your future, your legacy.

A village & God.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11)

That being said, I hope to see all of y’all tomorrow at this beautiful location. A picture says more than 1000 words, but I think you should come see this location yourself and take your own pictures OR getting them taken by one of our super talented photographers! Mine was taken by @inspyreshots, but we will also have @shotbydashenko , @rivaldorose.media & @rpvisual_productions!

So get dressed, be blessed & enjoy the night with me.

Georgy Morhea & Friends 🎵

Always inspired by Queen Beyoncé, she refuses to be confined to a single style. Versatility is the key to connection, so why not incorporate it into her music and collaborate with a diverse group of friends?

Their shared love for music is at the heart of everything they do. While they currently perform covers, she's also working on her own original repertoire. Get ready for a world takeover with their R&B, (Neo)Soul, Disco & Funk vibes!

Georgy Morhea a Chanté un chanson.
-
Georgy Morhea sang a song.

You see what I did there? Lately I feel like being two persons. Just like this cool black glass mirror effect picture that @inspyrephotosnl took of me @grandcafe.cascada.

I feel like Georgy Morhea the artist, but also very much Chanté.. funny how something like a name can make you feel so differently about yourself and where your power comes from.

And in case you did know, I’m officially named: Chanté Morhea Georgy😌✨

Blessed by the name, wich means singing in French.
