What catches my eye about this @jahjahstudiodesign x adidas Adistar Control 5 is how the colours highlight the shoe’s construction. 👟🔴🟡🟢

As a designer, I’m drawn to that balance: the yellow mesh brings brightness, the glossy black overlays define the lines, and the red accents punctuate the design.
Each colour has its place and helps shape the way we read the shoe’s proportions.

I also love the contrast between the texture of the mesh and the glossy surfaces.
It adds depth to a silhouette already rich in layers.
Despite the bold colours and complex construction, the overall design feels cohesive to me.

That’s what I appreciate about this project: I can still recognise the technical character of the Adistar Control 5 while discovering JAH JAH Studio’s visual language within it.

Through this series of on-foot photos, I wanted to show how that design comes to life.
The proportions, the volume of the sole and the distribution of colour read differently when worn.

For me, a successful collaboration brings a fresh perspective to a silhouette and makes us want to look at it again.
This one also resonates with me through its meeting of Afro-Caribbean culture and sports design.

What detail catches your eye first?
Good job @daquigomis & @jahjahparis team ™️. Bless up Vue portée des sneakers JAH JAH Studio x adidas Adistar Control 5. Le mesh jaune vif contraste avec les empiècements noirs brillants qui structurent la chaussure. Des touches de rouge sur la semelle extérieure complètent cette silhouette aux volumes généreux et aux matières superposées.

Green as the common thread. 🍀🍃🎋

As a designer, I pay as much attention to colour as I do to how it interacts with materials, patterns and proportions.

In this look, I love the interplay between the different shades of green: deep on the jacket’s cuffs, brighter on the sleeve stripes, laces and PUMA Formstrip.
The cap extends this palette, while white and beige give it room to breathe.

The jacket’s geometric pattern brings rhythm. The sleeve stripes give the look structure, while the sneaker’s curves soften that geometry. It’s this dialogue between shapes that interests me.

Putting an outfit together is also a design exercise: choosing what catches the eye, creating visual connections and finding the right balance without making everything match.

One colour, several shades, one shared intention.

What if your favourite soda became a sneaker? 🥤👟

Bright red, white accents and metallic overlays: the @cocacola x adidas Adistar Control 5 brings the drink’s signature look to a Y2K-inspired design.

My favourite details? The tongue, which echoes the curves of the iconic glass bottle, and the water droplets on the shoe, like a drink straight out of the fridge.

A way to tell a story through shapes and textures.

Are you feeling the design? 🔴

What if the smallest details told the best stories? 🌲👟

The PUMA x Rothaus Indoor “Tannenzäpfle 70th Anniversary” takes us to the Black Forest. Light suede, a green Formstrip, touches of red and a gum sole create a fresh palette that lets the details shine.

Biergit and pine cones feature on the tongues, while the gold accents echo the foil wrapping on Tannenzäpfle bottles.

What I love about this project is how it expresses identity and culture through materials, colours and finishing touches. A sneaker that catches your eye at first glance, then reveals more the longer you look.

What do you think of this collaboration? 👀

🐲 What if a sneaker could tell the story of a culture and pass on its heritage ? 🐉

“THE DRAGON BOAT” x @costs__official x @vans_europe is a story of cultural transmission.

What I love about this collaboration between COSTS and Vans is that the design goes far beyond aesthetics.

Inspired by the weaving of the leaves used to wrap zongzi, which are closely associated with China’s Dragon Boat Festival, the sneaker directly translates this traditional craft into its design.

That’s exactly what I appreciate about design: when a product becomes a way to tell a culture’s story, pass on its heritage, and keep it alive.

Because in the end, a beautiful pair of sneakers is great. A pair that tells a story is even better. 🙏🏾
