Perfect day for a Zumba fundraiser for the Friends of Waterfront Park. We got fresh air, exercise and a beautiful view - all for a good cause. Thanks to Dance for a Difference for organizing!

I call these, “Tappers take Manhattan!” You guys, this EXQUISITE group of ladies took me to dinner and a show for my birthday. And not just any show…The Music Man!!!! I’m lucky to call myself their tap teacher, and so happy I found a home at @broadwaytrainingcenter Shout out to my tap lady and dear friend from a previous life @sara_cathleen for crushing it as #associatechoreographer on this delightful show…and for making me look cool in front of my students. Scroll to decide if we should keep singing, or just stick to tapping. #tapdancer #tapteacher #76trombones @musicmanbway

HudCo is fortunate to have a rolodex of talented members, many of which are writers! We're looking to bring all our HudCo writers together and create a space to share challenges (have a bit of quarantine writer's block?), exchange experiences, and most importantly, get to know one another. Our virtual meetup will be led this Thursday by our friend, a HudCo OG and New York Times best-selling author, Jenny Rosenstrach aka @dinneralovestory. Members only, DM for more info.

Raise your hand if you voted! 👋🏼 Let’s show 100% turnout from members!!! Today is the day, the most important day this year for you to participate in your government, the rules that dictate how we live as humans in America. Make your vote count today, have your say in who is making these rules that we live by. Nothing is permanent, so let’s make sure the people in charge really represent what we want our lives (and our kids’ lives) to look like. 📷 @acehotel

Today’s #wcw goes out to one of our newest members, journalist and communication strategist Fran Smith. We are not worthy: “As a newspaper reporter for many years, Fran exposed fraud and wrongdoing in hospitals and nursing homes, profiled power brokers and unsung heroes, and shined the light on achievements that most of the media ignored — the teacher, teen, nurse, artist, advocate, ex-convict, scientist making a difference in their community, often against all odds. She founded Fran Smith Media to help people and organizations tell their own stories, with clarity, authenticity and power. Fran’s articles have appeared in hundreds of newspapers and dozens of magazines and websites including O: The Oprah Magazine, Redbook, Good Housekeeping, Salon, Forbes, Prevention, Psychology Today, the Los Angeles Times and USA Today. She has won numerous awards for feature writing, investigative reporting and editing, and shared a Pulitzer for coverage of the Loma Prieta earthquake in the San Francisco Bay Area.” Yeah, THAT Pulitzer.
