Hey there, Album #35 is out there:) Here’s a lil tale of the inspiration of “Begrudger” I sometimes joke about the PNW finally moving on from being the forerunner of the psychological warfare known as passive aggressive to being the harbinger of the realm of nit-picky “passion aggression. “ But just like Portlandia, maybe it’s a portal for understanding the ideology of what it means to be an American in 2026. This album represents some of the sides of that experience: the petty, the strangely confrontational, the absurd, and the deeply miniscule specificities of humans. When I first moved to town, I started taking pictures of handwritten notes left on cars—written in ballpoint pen on scraps of paper, explaining how someone should have parked. Some were framed as questions about why you would park that way, while others turned into almost poetic, backhanded reprimands. The photo series was really the one and only hashtag of mine that became even slightly viral. In a way, these improvised songs come from the same place. That ever-so-present phase where frustration becomes performance with no one around but your inner self. Other pieces frame my common practice of how my own criticism becomes a songname. Others resemble an audio-reinactment of a barrage of tiny disagreements in the Trader Joe’s parking lot that can somehow instantly become an entire worldview. Begrudger 1. Hello All, Happy Bandcamp Friday! GAMSIM is back with a new release>> link is in bio:) Pronoia is the belief that the universe or others are conspiring to help you, acting as the opposite of paranoia. This album finds GAMSIM refining their shape-shifting language into something both more focused and expansive. Trumpeter/electronic artist Noah Simpson and guitarist/FX explorer Mike Gamble craft a fluid dialogue of textured improvisation and detailed production, where small gestures move through shimmering electronic environments. Short-form pieces unfold like interconnected signals. Glitchy pulses. Airy horn lines. Processed guitar fragments that feel like they are slipping between structure and spontaneity. But there is a sense of cohesion that is beneath the surface, as if each moment is guided by an unseen logic. The result is a concise, immersive work that explores connection, perception, and the subtle patterns that bind disparate sounds into a living organism that is experiencing Pronoia. 1. Hey Everyone, Indeterminacy is a refuge for some and a nightmare for others. Some follow recipes; others improvise and just wing it. Either way, we are conditioned to want clarity regardless of the results we cook up ourselves. Meanwhile, new language keeps emerging and attempts over and over again to pin down what we are feeling and define the problems we face. More often than not, those efforts lead somewhere inconclusive. The answers stay partial. Anecdotal. Sometimes they never arrive at all. It’s confusing. And that is okay. What holds us back may not be uncertainty itself, but our resistance to it, our need to resolve what refuses resolution. Within that ambiguity, there are moments where this music briefly clarifies. A pattern locks into place, a harmony resolves just enough, or a motif returns with slightly more definition. Like finding a thread in a knot, these moments do not untangle everything. They just make the tangle easier to sit with. While illuminating small glimpses of coherence, this music is inviting us to dwell in the discomfort of not knowing. The question is not how to escape indeterminacy, whether is it something we eventually learn to inhabit? “Tosses and Turns” 1. Apozem, sure 2. House of Bathos 3. A Rorty One 4. Pleonastica 5. Hey folks, Have you ever felt like you’re standing inside a fertile void, where possibility is everywhere but is never fully yours to touch? You have a continued awareness of its presence but for some reason you just don’t have access to it. Your inkling is to stick around to see if you can be present for that serendipitous moment when the grand exchange happens — getting your hopes up that someone or something can just allow this presence to attune you. Let it reach a part of you that needs guidance. Some direction. To simply lend a spark to ignite it. But instead you and this omnipotent energy just linger in that suspended state. All the counterparts are there, yet nothing quite connects. At this point the undeniable tension is now a perceivable distance that becomes its own fixture. That’s how this music speaks to me. It draws the listener in and makes it seem nearly impossible to leave the liminal space. “Static in the Walls” 1. Static in the Walls 2. Aftertaster 3. Trancing 4. Bemused 5. Hello, My 11th release this year is out there via @bandcamp Click ye olde linktree above:/\~ have a listen 👂 “Still Farther Than You Think” Self development takes much more than you would ever imagine. It’s never finished, and that’s how it should be. Each milestone does not originate from a point-and-click mentality or even a clear roadmap for that matter. Of course along the way you run into existential questions, moments of quiet mysticism, and long stretches where nothing seems to make sense. I feel like any growth rarely happens in straight lines too; it wanders through missteps, reflection, and patience. Most of the work feels invisible. It’s happening slowly within the process of how you think, notice, and respond to the world. Over time, without realizing it, you begin to see things from a higher place. This album is dedicated to the feeling that you’ve climbed a small lookout tower and the landscape of your life looks a little wider than before. From your perspective, you begin to see healing and growth take shape—never something you could simply add to a cart or have delivered. 1. The Lookout Tower 2. Emotive Inquiry 3. Missteps 4. Hello, Lately I’ve been thinking about the human brain and its ability to remain curious. In a world where information never seems to stop flowing, I wonder if boredom even still exists. Or if it’s just buried somewhere at the end of the digital gutter, waiting for someone to bother lifting it back into life and function as impermanent once again. For some of us, that restless spark has already been worn down. What once felt like open-ended wandering is now filtered, optimized, and increasingly manufactured by the quiet machinery of algorithms, AI, and daily over-stimulation. It leaves me wondering how we hold on to the instinct that pushes us to pry, to question, to dig. Inquisitiveness used to thrive in empty space: joined by long stretches of silence and instances of uncertainty. Now those tandems are harder to find. The challenge is remembering how to keep searching anyway and how to stay interested in the dirt beneath our feet and finding the strange uncharted territory just beyond the map. Maybe the only real way forward is to protect that instinct ourselves. To guard it. To ignore the noise when we can. Then tell your friends and family when you figure that out. I’ll do my best to stay on the trajectory of making music and being inspired by others while I am still magnetized to the record button. “Brianfodder” 1. Galvanizer 2. Self Effacement 3. Hey everyone, My next release is out on @bandcamp. Have a listen and support if you can/:) link is bio. Much love 💕 Recorded on Fender Rhodes, drums, and electric bass, “Deskiller” explores the tension between ambition and authenticity. The record pushes back against hollow productivity and the pseudo-workaholism propped up by AI-driven tech aristocracies. Rather than optimizing or scaling, this music distills personal craft through ambition, doubt, and rebellion. It’s a mantra of refusal—a decision not to give up, not to blend in, and not to surrender to the digital takeover Deskiller In a Hotbed Loping Along Hurry SIckness Earning Hope Mindful Dreamer Pitch Deck Learning Curves Code Breaker Flashbacking Remaining Unfulfilled What Lies Under The Grey Area Unarmored When The Clocks Speaks To You March of The Quiet Ones Loosen The Grip Mike Gamble- Fender Rhodes, Effects Mike Gamble- Electric Bass Mike Gamble- Drums and Cymbals Recorded at Color Therapy Studios @centerforsoundlightandcolor Mixed and Plastered at Studio M//G As:Is Records @asisrecordings Artwork by Devin Jane Febbroriello @devin_._jane_._ Photo by Colette Pomerleau @ofcuriosities

Hello again, We move on from the Year of the Snake not healed, not resolved, but still standing. My first release of this month emerges on the other side, shaped by modern overwhelm, late-stage capitalism burnout, and the constant grind of systemic pressure. Recorded in one late night in NE Portland, this album also displays how identity erodes before you even notice it slipping. As you will hear from track to track, the essence of the pseudo “math-metal/jazz-nerd emo-core” trio as a framework is quite undistinguishable after all — indicated by reckless metronomic abandonment and immediate genre fallout from the trio at any given turn. Each through -composed improvisation was painted first by the dark tone of the baritone guitar and then followed abruptly and quite haphazardly by drums and the electric bass. All in all, the music lives at the front line of what I’m calling the album: “Endurance Arc.” 1. With Bated Breath 2. Onslaughted 3. Polycrisis 4. Peers Be Pining 5. Return To The Core 6. Hello again, These are trying times that seem endless and I’m holding everyone close as I share this. My heart is with all of you 🖤 “Among Forgotten Things”marks the final release of this month. 1. Showing up, making space, and letting sound find its own shape. In a single day, I narrowed my process to one simple rule: complete a 45-minute cassette. I began by sketching on manuscript paper, then recorded bass and drums, then acoustic guitar while exploring the different voices within me as a multi-instrumentalist and discovering how each instrument articulates itself independently and in dialogue within a collective trio. By repeating this process week after week, I started to recognize my own tendencies—the contours of my playing—and how to anticipate gestures before they arrived. That familiarity made it possible to feel the subtle impulses that ultimately guided the music. Some pieces are calm and deliberate; others restless or unresolved. What matters is the act of making itself: sitting with boredom, inhabiting the different alter egos that emerge with each instrument, following instinct without questioning where it might lead, and letting repetition become a companion. This album is a trace of that discipline, a record of learning, listening, and trusting the inward guidance of both mind, body, and spirit. For my third weekly release, I’m excited to share Palingenesis… a word that speaks to rebirth and renewal, and an idea that runs through every note of this album. Palingenesis is an act of listening: to the earth, its hidden motions, and the lives moving alongside it. Classical guitar and drums, shaped with textured effects, intertwine with electric bass to create a landscape where tension, fragility, and resilience mingle. The music traces the invisible work beneath the surface, the restless nights, and the subtle rhythms that carry life forward even as rivers swell, soil cracks, and storms sweep across the land. It is a meditation on endurance, an acknowledgment of both vulnerability and strength, and a reflection on the shared human and natural experience of living through change. This record holds space for empathy, for noticing the weight of loss and the quiet signs of renewal, and offers a tender, intimate farewell of sorts to a world that is fragile, resilient, and —despite everything— still alive. Hello everyone, “People Watching” My second release in my weekly series is out now:/ People watching is the quiet art of reading lives without turning the page. Sitting still while the world moves. Letting strangers pass like brief, unfinished poems. We collect these signals about one another without asking where they came from. What fascinates me is that no one knows they’re performing, yet everyone is. Social media stretches people watching into something disembodied and endless. Traditional people watching happens in shared air, shared time, shared silence. Online, bodies dissolve into curated signals: captions, angles, emojis, timestamps. You don’t watch how people walk anymore. You watch how they want to be read. It becomes a hall of mirrors. Scrolling as asynchronous voyeurism. No eye contact. No risk of being seen watching back. Everyone is an observer and is observed, performer and audience. And I’m certainly one of them. This album lives between those worlds: bodies and profiles, presence and projection, what’s felt and what’s shown. I tried to turn those observations into sound, and sound back into empathy: a shared grammar of being a modern human. We’re all navigating waiting, longing, brief resolutions mistaken for endings. Emotions compressed into hooks and captions. Even silence disappears. Even loneliness posts itself. People Watching isn’t about judgment. It’s about noticing. These songs are what happens when the noise fades just enough to hear the human underneath. Even when you think you’re only listening.
