The oldest daughter who carried her own weight, showed up for herself, and refused to fold. Thankyaaaa. 🤞🏽

I contemplated going back to finish many times… many. My history class my 1st semester back in college, was actually what did it for me. Yes, my History class about my heritage & the US Gov. I never cared for history, it was always so boring since fourth grade. However, the more I learned, the more I realized how important it is to be an educated BLACK WOMAN in this world. I stuck with it, while being a full time active sports moms of young scholars. 🤏🏽

My time at RSC has rebuilt me in ways I never imagined. The tears, long hours, unconventional workload & prayers. I still showed up on the hard days. The long days, the days I didn’t have the support…& DID THAT. Small steps to a giant. 🤏🏽

If you needed a sign to do that “thing” let this be it. Knowledge is power & comes in many forms.

Thank you God for choosing me. So glad I decided to go back. This is just the start of my journey. 🎓

I made the above post 12 days before my mom passed away. We were meeting not sure what the outcome was going to be. My sister @auntisheshe reminded us of this today.
My brother @emperormaximusjefficuscaesar shared something so profound with our family. I challenge you to not wait for the One More Day, but seize the moment to Love, support, and build memories today!! Realty is once the person is gone, one more day is not going to happen at least on this side. So everything you say you would do if you had One More Day, do it now with those you love that are still here! Share this with someone you love! 🙏🏾🤗❤️

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!! I want to be transparent with you today. My niece @dorabreauxphoto took these pictures of me in August 2023. At that time, I was so hyped and excited to start some new ventures and do some things with my consulting/coaching business amongst other things. I was determined to make happen. Then I found myself distracted by life and the things that were happening around me.
Helping people get closer to their dreams, but not pouring into myself. So these pictures sat on a virtual shelf.
I know that I have been gifted to do a lot of amazing things. I am full of ideas. I know that I have one life to live. I know that nobody owes me anything. I know that no one can make my vision happen but me. I know that I have to put in the work. I know that I have to seize the moments and take advantage of every day that I have breath in my body to live life to the fullest. I know that I have to practice what I preach/teach and not just pour into others but pour into myself with the same intensity and determination.
So I give myself on my birthday, the permission to Love myself with my whole heart and know that I am worthy of everything that God has intended for me to have and go after it until I get it. I am blessed beyond measure to be able to be here and do what I love to do which is to pour into you guys, but I also know that I must take the time to consider myself as well because I am worthy.
So yeah, I’m going to take these amazing photos @dorabreauxphoto took of me and use them as a backdrop as I move into the next chapter of my life. I love you all so much and thank you for the love. have one life to live. I wanna live it as a Daughter of the king, knowing my worth & knowing no good thing will he withhold from me I just have to go after it!! It’s Go Time!!! Let’s Get It!! Let’s Go!!

It’s Time For The Check In!!! Are you happy? Do you seek to achieve happiness through people or things? Maybe something great happened to make you happy for the moment. Nothing wrong with that, I love being happy. Unfortunately, it is a feeling that can change at moment.
I want you to have joy. Here is the difference.

Joy is a deeper emotion than happiness that comes from within — from a sense of purpose and meaning, including finding meaning in suffering — and from relationships with others.
Joy is internal and connected to living a more authentic life. This is because to have joy, you must do inner work, identifying your values and strengths and aligning your life with them.
there is nothing wrong with being happy, but I’ll allow God to fill you with joy and everything that comes along with that. The differences major!

I had another RAM IN THE BUSH moment!! We have lost a few great people, things are going on all around us that is hard to understand. Hearts are hurting.
