🎶 Put Your Records On! 🎶 ☀️ This past summer, our @instruments4life students explored the beautiful message behind Put Your Records On by @corinnebaileyrae ! We love learning how music can help us understand, express, and embrace our feelings. 🤩 📖 Through Corinne’s story, our students discovered that there is always a song waiting to meet us wherever we are. Then, we brought those feelings to life through music, movement, and creative expression! 🤟🏽 🙏🏽Thank you, Corinne, for creating a story and a song that continue to inspire a new generation of young music lovers. 💙🎶 Major i4L gratitude to @tampaparksrec, @friendsoftamparec, @childrensboard_hc, @thehostprogram, @communitysteppingstones, @artscouncilhc & @suncoastcreditunion for your continued support in helping us make life musical for the deserving youth of Tampa Bay! 🙏🏽🎶 #PutYourRecordsOn #CorinneBaileyRae #Instruments4Life #MusicEducation #TampaBay ArtsEducation

Four times a year, I get to hear what three amazing organizations are doing to make our community, and our residents’ lives, better. By simply showing up, listening and adding my $100, I’m able to support their efforts. I absolutely 💗 that @100womenwhocaresouthtampa facilitates this! On Tuesday, we gathered to hear from… @instruments4life - providing free instrument and voice lessons and brand new instruments to kids in after school programs in underserved neighborhoods. @southtampaymca - cancer survivor and wellness group providing support, community and free physical training to help cancer patients and survivors thrive physically and mentally. @lighthouseblv Lighthouse for the Blind and Low Vision - helping all ages learn tools and skills to live fuller lives in a world made for sight. All three organizations are amazing. If you aren’t familiar with them, please check them out!

🎵The next music legends of Central Avenue!🤟🏽 🎙️Our students from Kid Mason were eager to learn about the rich musical history of downtown Tampa! During the era of the Chitlin’ Circuit, Central Avenue was home to many iconic music venues that helped launch the legendary careers of artists like James Brown, Ella Fitzgerald, B.B. King, and Billie Holiday.🌸 🕶️ Even more special, the Kid Mason Recreation Center sits right next to where Tampa’s adopted son, Ray Charles, once lived, wrote, and recorded his first song, “St. Pete Blues.” 🎹 ✨Moments like these remind us that music education is about more than learning notes. 🎶 It’s about connection, culture, and inspiring the next generation to help carry our legacy forward.💙 🙏🏽 So much appreciation to @tampaparksrec and @suncoastcreditunion for your continued support in making life musical for the deserving youth of Tampa Bay!☀️
