Woke up today and its all of a sudden my last competitve meet day ever. Im surprised to have the same anxiety and butterflies as I usually do. But happy and ready to not have to deal with it anymore lol. I am filled with mixed emotions for sure. I Got a book of letters from the best wife a man could ask for ( @torhawleycrittenden ) that was filled with messages memories and congratulations from so many people! Been crying all weekend honestly. And through it I see that it has never been about performances or times or teams or records or even money. But its been priceless to know how many amazing people Ive got to connect with on this journey. It has always been about the people. Especially in a sport filled with thousands of people that want to do their absolute best every single day as athletes, coaches, therapists, agents and everythingnin between.

This might just be my new favorite pic with one of my favorite people in baseball, @ryanhoward_006, at his “Salute to the Negro Leagues” event held last Friday at the @palomarphilly hotel. The private event, hosted by Ryan and our friends at @lachicasports, raised $20k in support of the @nlbmuseumkc!

Big thanks to the honorable Mayor @cherelleparkerphilly for taking time out of her busy schedule to stop by the @ryanhoward_006 Salute to the Negro Leagues event at the @palomarphilly on Friday to welcome me to the @cityofphiladelphia! Mayor Parker is Philly’s 100th Mayor and the first woman to hold the office.

I want to take this moment to let you all know. I decided this maybe around March or so and I have been telling loved ines and those closest to me. I appreciate all of the love and support I’ve received throughout my career and my family and I cant thank you all enough.

If you want to keep up with me as I finish this crazy journey Ill be heading to race in Hengelo, NL on 6/21 and @diamondleagueathletics Paris on 6/28. My last races on US soil will be @murpheyclassic on 7/11 in Memphis Tennessee and at US Championships in NYC on 7/23-26.
