Little voiceover action for behind the scenes at The @undergroundstrengthgym ✊✊✊

It’s a lot more important to understand WHY you’re doing certain exercises, but of course, CRUCIAL to understand HOW to perform the exercises properly ✔️✔️

MANY athletes use barbells but when we see them train, we see:

- Back Bridge Bench Press

- HALF Squat

- HUNCH Back Deadlift

Something that is very interesting with athletes and parents this past decade is they do NOT Fully understand the importance of strength and building body armor 💪💪💪

Once upon a time, athletes wanted to be strong AND jacked, they knew that it was important not just for the sport, but because it gave them confidence 📈📈📈

It’s very scary that athletes in some of the most Dangerous sports such as football and wrestling are walking around skinny and weak.....

And, even perhaps more scary is their parents Don’t see anything wrong with that. 👀👀

➡️ being weak and lacking body armor puts the athlete at risk, that athlete is now a walking liability 🤨🤨

Nutrition and lifestyle must be dialed in to support proper training, we can see a mile away who is skipping breakfast, eating the school lunch and eating primarily processed crap 👎👎

All progress starts with the truth ✔️✔️

The WORK is the GIFT 🏆🏆

Athletes need to learn to fall in love with the process, and the many ups and downs that come with competitive sports 🥇🥇

too many athletes burn out because they don’t love the process, too busy running around doing a bunch of “stuff” rather than getting in intense, focused work that actually makes them better 📈📈📈

Today, @nate_stout1 spoke to our athletes about the process, about finding a college that you want to be a part of, and you want to contribute to, how to reach out to the coaches and have genuine conversations 🏆🏆🏆

We’re here for you, whether it’s in the competitive arena of sports or the competitive Arena of LIFE 🏆🏆

We will help you and your family WIN no matter the circumstance, you need to show up and be consistent, can we count on YOU??!!

Inside The Underground 🏆

Sound on 🔊 📈

Whether you are in season or off-season, check out this video because you could see that these athletes are showing up, no matter the time of year 🥇🥇🥇

as always, the most successful athletes are never caught saying “I don’t have the time”

They do with the most successful people do which is making the time ✔️✔️

What is the purpose of participating in sports if you are not putting in your best effort?!?!

Sports and training are simply a vehicle for living a better, stronger life - punch those excuses in the face and give it your all, this way when you are older and out there in the “real world“, you know how to WIN ✊✊🏆🏆

On the REBUILD 📈📈📈

@nate_stout1 & I we’re chatting in between our work and I said, “Man, I remember when I was younger everybody made it sound like when you got to age 50 you would be a weak piece of shyt 🤷‍♂️”

Weak Mind = WEAK LIFE

Change your attitude & one of the best ways to do that is to change the people you spend time with.

You never see winners hanging out with losers

You never see highly motivated people hanging out with lazy people

And you never see strong people spending time with those who choose weakness and excuses over work ethic ⚒️⚒️

The crew at @lehighmenswrestling - this was still early in the season, maybe I was here for a few weeks, possibly one month at this time so I believe this was around November 2014

This was a very special place for me, there was so much history with this program, I found myself taking that responsibility very seriously.

And these kids were awesome, the coaching staff was awesome, Lehigh wrestling always holds a special place in my heart.
